Massive evolution from their debut in series 6 to now. Although in theory they shouldn't have been in this competition cos they competed in series 6 already
I always thought that claw on psycho was miles better than his hammer, but in my personal opinion MR Psycho is an ok house robot, but I rank it as 2nd worst. (Still light years ahead of Cassius Chrome)
To be fair, at this point even Hypnodisc wasn't really capable of dealing that much damage. In Series 6 the only damage it did was to Granny's Revenge, a mobility scooter with a dummy on it...
Chip actually had a powerful weapon. In a series 6 qualifier battle, they impaled themselves in the wall with the disk. Chip was an underrated bot in all honesty.
Most robots don’t have cutting weapons, though. Most of the seriously effective weapons are heavy objects that build inertia (spinning flywheels, heavy hammers) to knock things loose, and a rubber tire absorbs a lot of that energy and keeps it from reaching the internal mechanics that would otherwise be damaged. So it really is a good armor material for the types of weaponry it’s likely to face!
There was a fightbox warrior from Durham called the raider created by David Race. He qualified 2nd out of 60 warriors. He won his heat, but was eliminated by Jenna Cyde in round 1 of the quarter finals. From Joe. X
Absolutely - Razer isn't in this tournament as the team were already established competitors. By this point, Razer had racked up all 7 of it's combat tournament trophies, and would score a couple more wins over this series of Extreme before retiring. It did return for the first Reboot series but went out in the first round after Kill-E Crank-E, the robot it was gripping, managed to drag the pair of them into the Pit. As of the show's second cancellation, Razer remains the most successful competitor in the show's history, with the aforementioned 7 combat tournament trophies and 40 individual battle victories
Wtf was with the house thugbots picking on Night Raider? They could equally have destroyed either of the others at random. These things should be decided by which competing bot is the best, not some random bit of thuggery by oversized house thugs. And the same goes in the second heat. Impossible to tell which of these bots is any good with massive house thugbots interfering all the time. And the final, Edgehog was defeated by Killalot. This episode was a travesty, all it proved was that massively heavy house thugbots could beat up any competitor half their weight.
RT 81 is the crappiest robot I have ever seen in Robot Wars. It was so slow. If one of the house robots hadn't brought it over to the fight it would never have gotten anywhere near it. It took about 10 minutes for it to move two inches. A lot of robots have been considered to be joke robots but this one tops the list.
