I watch Wire in the Blood over and over again. It was my first introduction to Robson Greens work. Then I searched out everything I could find to watch Robson Green along with him teaming up with Jerome musically, in the USA.
This guy is a truly amazing actor, very underrated. He did another police series in the 90s called 'Touching Evil' which is similar to Wire in the Blood, and well worth watching. Talented man
Robson Green is very charismatic. He has such a magnetic personality o camera. He is the only choice for this role. I have watched multiple episodes of Wire In The Blood and he is completely believable in this role. The series is very dark, and intelligent. He is lovely. He is a natural.
He is an amazing actor ,so natural. From a clumsy psychologist,to a detective ,to a very romantic lover ,he is completely at ease. And those blue eyes something to die for
I still watch this show... I believe it's one of a kind. Great acting, interesting characters and well plotted storylines, what else can one hope for? If I ever write a crime novel, I will come back here to learn from the masters :)
First viewing of this special man a sophisticated City Boss . Handsome take your breath away blue eyes . Then the Super series "Wire in the Blood " reviewed many times. And "Grantchester " with James Norton. Loved the ageing 'tony' first time seeing him as Robson Green Surprised by his Humour . Goes to show what a super Actor he is.
IMHO Wire in the Blood is the best, most intriguing, addictive, brilliant, crime thriller ever. Robson Green's character, Tony is so unusual, he is brilliant but obtuse too, a woman can't help but fall for this handsome man but, Tony and the dedication to his work- he just can't figure out normal women on the show and that keeps, kept me caring for them and coming back. Val McDermid is brilliant at plotting and originality- Tony is SO unique...an unlikely sleuth- even though the subject matter can be gory, the show doesn't have gratuitous violence. And episodes are rated for age. I personally prefer Brit crime shows over American ( The Wire being the exception) because they go in deeper, tackle more so called forbidden subjects and the actors are SO much more normal looking! Maybe I am behind- I don't watch much TV, so that is why I said INHO. Robson Green like Idris Elba, from Luther, sigh...SO HANDSOME, I keep trying in my imagination to get Tony to kiss Carol or Alex! 10 thumbs up to Val McDermid, her forensic advisor Sue - forgot last name! the actors and crew. A superlative show, and the scenery, a stunning part of England, it smartly plays against the violence. Wish they'd start the show up again. I just got it a few months ago with Prime. If you love thrillers that are really addicting and unique watch! And buy Ms. McDermids books too! Namaste, Z
There are certain similarities between Wire and Touching Evil, not just because of Mr. Green’s exceptional work in the lead. Such as the hospital episode, which mirrors in certain ways the 1st Series 2nd Episode of Touching Evil in which a Dr. justifies their handiwork. Brilliant series, infinitely watchable. Dr. Hill is awkward and not very confident what he does matters, in contrast to DI Creegan. But Tony is quite adroit in escaping bad situations, for the most part.
If you don't like him Kami, then don't watch him,. but DON'T come on here slagging him off. This is for people who D like him!! How do you think his children will feel if they read this?
