Agreed. Clover could have been, but he made the worst decisions possible at a critical moment and it cost him. Robyn on the other hand seems to do well under pressure and will have Qrow’s back for sure.
Visualy their color schemes balance each other pretty well (see 7:44 for exemple). And it may be not so incongruous that the buckle of her bell forms the number of luck (bad or good depanding as you see it) 13...
1:43 It would have been great if Marrow and Blake have talked with each other regarding the issues of Faunus and how they were treated differently in Atlas and Mantle and how he managed to rise up through the ranks up to the Ace-Ops.
"Listen, I get it. You are hurting. You've been hurting for a long time...but let's stop pretending that what you're trying to do here is for anyone but yourself! Clover was a lot of things. You respected him. But I gotta tell ya, I think you're the better Huntsman - not because you were the one who walked away, but because you were the one who was fighting for what was right. Don't go telling me that's changed."
So are we gonna forget that Robyn started the fight inside the ship and caused it to crash after Tyrian provoked her, Qrow and Clover in their heated argument?
@Madison Trudell True. They were caught off guard by Ruby's surprise call of telling everyone who has a Scroll about Ironwood going mad all of a sudden and not knowing the context. Even though there's actually no order of arrest on Robyn, she does see it as wrong and oppose Clover for it.
Honestly I really like her. I get some of the reasons people don’t, but I really do. I really enjoy her fighting style and hope we get to see more of it. Her weapon is also shaped like a bird which is an insanely cool little detail. I love that vigilante stuff and I also really like that she goes out of her way to make Qrow feel better. She had absolutely no reason to, especially since their first encounter was a somewhat hostile one, but she did, and I think that’s really important. Am I the only one that gets the feeling that she has a really interesting backstory behind her? Just based on her goals and character I think that, but then add in the dialogue that seems to hint at her past (like that thing about people being afraid she’d “sniff out” their secrets). I just feel like there’s a lot there that we may or may not get to see. I hope we get more of her overall. Especially her friendship w Qrow. 3:32 AHAHAHHAHA SAME ROBYN!!! I never noticed that before lmao
It will be interesting to see how Robyn fits into the Vacuo scene in Volume 9! Miss Vee definitely voiced her with flair and a strong style all her own!! 😎👍🌹👏💖
Robyn would be horrified after finding out Ruby and company had dumped a lot of helpless civilians in the middle of a Vacuo sandstorm and they are dying in droves from Grimm and lack of shelter.
@@rexlumontad5644 Like they did that deliberately...I'm pretty sure that was not their plan or intention. Letting the people all go down with Atlas or under it in the Crater was a much worse option when you actually think about it, eh? They did their best, and paid a heavy price over a 48 hour battle to save as many as they could, with Cinder Fall knowing their exact plans at the end. (;]D`
@@johnnygnoneeded True but I wished Weiss should have worded it better. Like "make a portal to Shade Academy" to Ambrosius. That way, the refugees would be at Shade Academy instead of being stuck in a middle of a desert.
@@rexlumontad5644 That was Weiss not understanding Ambrosius, and Ospin not being clear enough as to what Ambrosius is like, as much as anything else. By the time Oscar figured it out it was way too late. And that image of Nora at the portal trying to get back to Juane and the rest is as heartbreaking as watching Juane's tears hitting the pathway just a few moments earlier. (;]D`
@@johnnygnoneeded True, I can imagine Weiss' horror if she went through the portal to Vacuo and tried to go back inside but it blocked her and she remembered what she said to Ambrosius.
Robyn Hill needs more love ... she might not get alot of screen time but I loved her sass and design. I also love her new dynamic with Qrow, she is the friend/sister he needs
I literally just learned that tidbit a few min ago, looked up a Robyn video, and started scrolling thru the comments and found you!!! I also watch miraculous ladybug and this would def sound like an older marinette. That’s the only other Cristina vee voice id recognize as I watch everything else in English sub
I love her sassy attitude, I love her relationship with Qrow and happy huntresses(ı hope ı can add more people in future), I love about fact how her semblance makes her lonely(its sad but ı never thought about it until said). Long story short ı love her character and ı hope to see more of her and relationships she is in with others.
Yet Robyn is shocked when Mantle and Atlas are destroyed and flooded while not knowing the rest of the cities' populations are stuck in the middle of Vacuo's sandstorms and surrounded by Grimm
Christina “Vee” Valenzuela. One of my favorite VAs, I keep on running into roles she’s played and I can’t seem to escape her: Shantae, Risky (Shantae Series), Hestu (Hyrule Warriors: AOC), Ophilia (Octopath Traveler), Verosika Mayday (Helluva Boss), Darkness Lalatina (Konosuba), Homura Akemi (Madoka Magica) and Robyn Hill (RWBY). All characters I absolutely love and 90% of the time, I recognize her without any help.
Robyn is a very well-written character, even if her flaws have made things worse at the worst possible times, and her writing gives me a sense that CRWBY understands how direct action and local progressive politics actually work. Even Robyn's foray into electoralism is merely one prong of her multipronged strategy to affect positive change in her community.
I can’t escape her: Shantae, Risky, Hestu, Ophilia, Verosika, Darkness, Homura and Robyn. All characters I absolutely love and 90% of the time, I recognize her without any help.
"You said you believe in me, but...I'm the one that believes in all of you. you've proven to me that as individuals, we are strong. But together, we're unstoppable! So no matter what happens to me, win or lose, we will continue to fight for this city, for it is this city that brings us together!"
Robyn's honestly one of the few genuinely stable characters in this show and watching her pep/reality talk Qrow, the Ace Ops, and all of Mantle and Atlas around makes me feel she's one of the greatest therapists these poor kids have 🥰
OMG... her VA is Cristina Vee, AKA Killua, Homura, Miraculous Ladybug, and sm others.. she is my fav BUT I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE UNTIL NOW 😭 Can totally hear the Killua mannerisms ESP WHEN SHE FLIPS THE CHAIR...
Oh, Robyn. Truly a queen. Apart from that Cristina sure does an amazing job at voice acting Robyn. Not surprised though. She is Cristina freaking Vee after all.
I mean off the top of my head threatening to attack our protagonists who are trying to save the world in her very first appearance probably soured some’s opinion of her. And then the fact she was allowed to run for office despite trying to ambush government convoys probably added to the confusion of “What even is this character?”
@@giu_is_sephiroths_wife_con9960 But she wasn’t just looking for answers. When she didn’t get the answers she was looking for she was about to escalate to violence without provocation if Penny didn’t reveal herself and point out that Joana and May were cloaked behind them ready to attack. Honestly if they just removed that first scene I feel like not nearly as many people would have such a big problem with her. Without that scene Robyn’s arc becomes about her being someone who tries to change things from within through legal means but turns into a vigilante when it seems like the government is actively working against her to prevent legal change.
There are several reasons why I dislike her but one I can’t get over is that she supposedly doesn’t have a problem with Faunus - heck there’s even a Faunus on her team - but she shows racism towards Marrow by calling him Wags, a nickname that limits him to his Faunus trait? It comes off as super tasteless and I hate it. And I actually hate her “ too cool for school” habit of calling everybody by a nickname. Like, Lady, you’re supposed to be running for a council seat. Show some professionalism and address your peers by their actual names. This ain’t high school.
Imma be honest, I don't care for Robyn, she kinda annoys me. But then again, all of Volume 7 and 8 were a dumpster fire with most characters being mishandled. Cristina Vee did great with the voice work. And Robyn and Qrow's friendship is an great one. Hope to see how she develops in the future.
What abt polyamory? Jokes aside I think Robyn and Qrow already have a fantastic relationship so if I had to chose I’d say them, but I also just like their dynamic as friends. I’m fine w whatever they do between those two as long as they keep having interactions
Most useless character they've introduced. Nothing but woke bullshit once again interjected into the story for nothing more than the sake of woke politics. Robyn isn't just useless, she's an idiot, one that got a lot of characters killed off because she had to rebel against Atlas in an ineffective campaign.
Finally someone understand it. My gosh she's supposed to be the best of HH, but May is the best one and did everything. What a weakling leader robin is, i just wished May become the leader instead.
Ehhh... If you're talking about robin's VA as a queen... I'll take it, but robin herself and a character? Nahhhh... Sorry robin fans out there but just nahhh..i hate her my whole life. She just only escalate the situation like on the plane with clover, qrow& tyrian my gosh🙄 Robin as a queen?! How the hell is she gonna be a queen for being a weakling worst leader that only escalate a situation that led everything into mess?! A worst addition to the show.
First it was Clover who started this when he tried to arrest Qrow, second Robyn is a good leader and good person, when Qrow was all about revenge who helped him, it was Robyn
