Tyrian: Hello everyone. This is your new captain speaking. We're experiencing a strong amount of turbulence, so we'll be making an emergency crash landing. Thank you for flying with me.
Well of course. only a captain can fly a plane. And captains where funny hats. So in order to fly the plane, Tyrian had to be a captain with a funny hat. perfect logic.
Robyn really is the best person for Qrow right now. As we’ve noticed, Robyn has just been having the worst few days and nearly everything that’s been happening to her can be chalked up to Qrow’s Semblance. Tyrian got loose, she was in a plane crash, she got captured by Atlas, and a ceiling fell on her. Being near him hasn’t just inconvenienced her, it’s put her in danger multiple times. And she doesn’t care. She has repeatedly and consistently focused on Qrow as a person. When she hears about his Semblance, she doesn’t even stop to think about how he’s a burden or a danger to her, she goes right past it to the real issue of him feeling isolated and alone. She focuses on his emotional problems, on his morality, on his connections to others, because that’s what’s actually important. She’s not coddling him, in fact, she’s almost brutally honest when she tells him that he’s just doing this for himself and risking others. She’s being 100 percent truthful, and the truth is that Qrow is much more than his Semblance and always has been.
This is still my favorite comment to this day in regards to Robyn's perspective of Qrow and their relationship/friendship. It hits on the profound subject of Robyn actually caring for Qrow as a person, and she approaches Qrow on a human level of acknowledging who he is as a person. Qrow starts believing he is more than his semblance. I know there is more that can be said, but I really
Especially since Clover is gone, yeah being around someone with a semblance that counter acts his would have been the best. But someone who sticks with him and helps him no matter what is nothing to sneeze at
Imagine if Qrow could actually control his semblance, I know its a passive semblance but what if he focused on it and what "bad luck" actually means so he can manipulate that in his favour, keeping his odds the same while channelling it all into lowering his opponents luck
Qrow has been my favorite RWBY character since I can remember. I've been waiting YEARS for him to meet someone who would show him basic sympathy and maybe even understand him (outside of Ruby, ofc, sweet girl does her best). So when Robyn came along, I had hope. And when volume 8 dropped, I couldn't have been happier. And I know MANY would argue Clover was there for Qrow too, but I never really felt it as strongly as with I did with Robyn. Clover seemed more dismissive of Qrow's problems, treating them as if they were something trivial or that could be easily fixed, and his loyalty to Ironwood would always get in the way of a real bond. Robyn, on the other hand, somewhat understood Qrow's pain regarding both his semblance and his guilt towards Clover's death, she defended him and tried to comfort him on multiple occasions. She tried to make him laugh and to remind him of what really mattered, and in the end it really seemed like she got through to him. Now, whether the writers decide to go the romantic route with these two or not, I couldn't care less. I'm just glad Qrow's finally found a good friend, and I can't wait to see more of them in Volume 9!
You nail my feelings as well.... Qrow will need someone like Robyn in the days to come. Especially if they encounter Raven or Ty in Volume 9. I feel so much trama for so many this Volume!! And the sneak peek from RT of Ruby's view really makes me believe this more!! 😧💓🌹
These to birds are sure to travel far and wide in the future. Volume 9 and 10 are gonna have that roll played out for them since Qrow wants revenge on Cinder and Tyrian, but hopefully Robyn can help him keep his emotions in check until Ruby comes back.
I know everyone's thinking shipping, but frankly, I think Qrow should adopt her as his new sister. We can call her "Better Raven". In fact, he should adopt all the Huntresses and then HE will become the new oldest sibling by virtue of superior numbers. Everyone knows that's how sibling seniority works.
23:50 Hare's screams are genuine here. She knows what's she's done and that there's no stopping it, so when her friend offers to sacrifice himself to save everyone else... it hit her harder than anything else. Vine's blood was going to be on her hands because of her arrogance.
It's one of the most adult-like interaction relationships so far. Whether or not it becomes a romantic relationship, or continues to be and grow as a mutually respectful and supportive friendship, is the question. I'm fine with either outcome. And they still have to journey to Vacuo.
@@kelsb8121 she wasn't the reason as to why he died. Clover was stubborn because he put his faith into a man who was going insane, and lost his life because he refused to actually do the right thing. Qrow got weak, but it was Tyrian who dealt the final blow, literally in the video for all of it.
@@kelsb8121 and you already forgot that Tyrian is the reason why it all happened. Don't forget that Clover still ignored to reason when Ironwood sent out the wanted messages to people.
I really hope the crew doesn't rush this or makes this into something it isn't. At its core, their relationship, be it platonic, romantic, or possibly even found-familial, is so healthy because they both know what it means to hurt, but Qrow needs someone to learn how to deal with the pain from. With Clover, it doesn't solve his relationships with everyone else, even though they seemed like the "perfect fit". Maybe Clover AND Robyn could have both helped him balance out both his deeply rooted problems and his Semblance, but at the end of the day, Robyn is such an amazing friend for Qrow to have because, while Clover had luck on his side, he could never really understand what it meant to be pushed away for something you can't control. I want this relationship to bloom with the right amount of time, and for their progress to be on-screen for us to enjoy; I hope they don't just leave most of the getting-closer process off-screen for us to just see them getting buddy-buddy once or twice per Volume.
Wow, Robyn is literally the only character in the show that (in my opinion) became likable with time. Every other character in the show, I either loved them from the start or hated them from the start. Robyn on the other hand really became better between volume 7 and 8
Seriously all I wanted LOVING INTERACTION between Qrow and Winter, too bad they both separated now, I really wanted to know Qrow's reaction on both Raven and Winter being a Maiden. 😣
Me too bro! They literally ignore the most epic, intense and curious moment of qrow and winter on v3, there's something happened to those two and they just didn't show it... And they just ship qrow into a weakling huntress,(sorry if u guys like robin&and not starting a war here✋) it's just doesn't make sense at all. 🙄😑
@@PrincessLockette 20 to 40 year Olds. Unless crow and raven were super young when yang was born. They relationship with winter ain't fitting the formula.
@@PrincessLockette either that he did like her but never said or something about how she died and how he might have started drink as much I swear it’s summers death that caused his alcoholism to get worse
16:51 I thought it was Raven when I watched that episode for the first time. My excitement was gone when I noticed the crest on the bird's head. I can't wait for Raven's return and another Qrow - Raven Moment. Btw, Jailbirds are cute as well.
Ok, I know this video is about Qrow and Robyn, but can we talk about Clover for a moment and how disappointing his character was. And I do not mean EVERYTHING about him, only his final battle. Like, I get it that he is supposed to be obsessed with order and law and he trusts Ironwood to such a level that he barely thinks for himself, but why the fuck did he attack Qrow BEFORE trying to knock down Tyrian?! He is still the best Huntsmen of a WHOLE NATION, how the fuck did he make such a mistake?! He stopped Qrow while he was attacking Tyran TWICE. And before you say that Qrow did the same, let me clarify that there were two differences: 1)Clover did it first, making the situation worst. Qrow got pissed for a reason. 2)Qrow was emotionally broken at that point and unable to think rationally. I feel like the fact that he was using the scythe form of Harbinger (which he usually uses only against grimms) really meant that he had gone mad
Bird's of a Feather will flock together really excited to see what there interaction is going to be like going forward into Volume 9 if Crwby show's it thank you for this video
Everyone is flocking to these 'Birds of a Feather', so who am I to judge it. 😅 The trama these two may face will be heavy. Especially if Ty or Raven come in the picture in Volume 9!!! Thanks for the posting, I'mStrange!! 😎👍🌹
Although it may have ended with Glover's death, i will say that Crow and Tyrian team up was the best fight sequence in the entire show. Here we can perfectly see the saying "Enemy of my enemy is my friend" apply (Although only from Tyrian's perspective).
She just tells others what to do and complains when they don't listen. Rushes head first into problems leading to vine and clover getting killed for little other reason them plot.
Wait, Qrow said something like "We can talk with James about this", Robin assaults Clover, then Qrow just starts fighting Clover too? And now Clover is choosing to strike at Qrow instead of teaming up with the guy he called friend, to take out Tyrian.
I think out of everything, the worst thing Qrow did was decide to team up with Tyrian against Clover. No matter what, he should've known Tyrian was the bigger enemy and taken care of him first. Both of them should've. They could've duked it out after.
Not sure if anyone has pointed it out but as someone who ships these two I adore the fact that they have not just great battle sass, but complimentary fighting styles. Robyn with her bow can stay out of range of Qrow's semblance and still provide support if need be like we saw Ruby do in part of the first tyrian fight. Not to mention that anytime Qrow starts to doubt himself Robyn can just grab his hand and be like 'i care about you, and you are not your semblance', and when it glows green? Well Qrow knows he's being cared for. After seeing all the eyes Robyn sent him in the epilogue i don't know how anyone couldn't ship 'em. There's also the fact that every good pairing has people that work as partners. Robyn has no issue standing up to Qrow when he's being stupid, and Qrow to his credit does listen to her. They're both strong willed people who need someone like the other as partners.
I honestly love their friendship, even if I do think Robyn is a bit too headstrong for her own good at times, but the Snowbird shipper in me is conflicted. I just want to see how things ultimately shake out in Volumes 10 and onwards, if RWBY makes it that far. Still, funny that Qrow's main ship partners are both a couple of decades his junior.
Just wanna share this parallelism, there's also a bird called American *Robin* and it looks like the female Sparrow in the anime Demon Slayer which also has a friend *Crow* that's also a male. Here's the pic... encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQc5Q_N4ARyx9uNSRCHCBm6x8_zbOOofyJWnw&usqp=CAU
Could anyone explain to me as to why Qrow and Robyn lowered their weapons when they saw Marrow and Winter in the elevator? Winter is Ironwoods most trusted soldier and second in command, I would've expected them to be even more wary.
Qrow’s been one of my all time favorite characters since his debut and I think he and Robyn make a kick-ass pair and if done right could become a pretty awesome couple. Not saying I ship them right away, but I can see the potential. They clearly respect one another and have a solid foundation for a friendship at least. And I’ve gotta say, Robyn is a badass and I love her character. I’m interested to see where Volume 10 will take us with these two.
This will never ever cease to bug me. They are transporting a guy who would happily murder puppies just for the fun of it when they get a notification to arrest Qrow. Now Qrow does the smart thing in trying to just defuse the situation. Just get back to Atlas before doing anything. Literally everyone here should be emotionally mature enough to say "Alright, we have limited information so let's not do anything hasty." So what do they do? Get into a fight. And then Qrow gets his moment of idiocy in that he is fighting Clover and Crazed Lunatic Kitten Strangler, and instead of working with Clover because of seriously, look at the alternative, you work with Bunny Rapist...
I know this video is old but I’d like to point out that clover isn’t dead, you see him in the hospital with Winter during her recovery scene. The same one where Ironwood shoots a council member. Guess you could say it’s pure luck that he survived
So much misery and sadness is caused when people do what they're told instead of what they know to be right. Hopefully the saying, "Bird of a feather flock together," holds true - I think they make a cute couple, and Ruby could use a step-mom, er, aunt ... (I haven't been watching the series regularly, and still think Qrow is Ruby's biological father).
Qrow really chose the worst partner during the Tyrian Clover Scuffle just because of a grudge, he knows Tyrian is the dangerous one there but he chose to fight clover
19:14-Don’t point your blamey little finger at Ironwood for what happened to Clover. It was your idea to side with Tyrian during your fight with Clover. A fight that Robyn started by attacking him when he was trying to reasonable about their arrest. Tyrian was the one who drove that sword at Clover’s back, not Ironwood.
