That's still far less of a disaster than my good friend while baking. She accidentally replaced the powdered sugar in a recipe with more baking powder. She learned to label her containers after that.

Oh as soon as I saw this!! Ha ha, it reminded me of working my first job in a school kitchen. I was the girl who put salt instead of sugar in the custard! 😂

if i had two nickels for every time someone put salt instead of sugar in bake off uk, i would have two, which is not a lot but it's weird it happens twice

And don't forget the times when salt has been added for "a taste of the sea". Both Victoria Mitchell and James Acaster did it that I can recall.

I just read an article saying that the show is going back to basics because it's failing. I can tell you as a viewer why I quit watching, it's because you went "woke." The show started out as being about the BEST baker and turned into being about pink haired weirdos. We want to see who can bake the best, not who is the most woke. Go woke, go broke! On a side note, the host's you've had throughout are super annoying but in the beginning got over looked because the show was great. Stop with the goofy hosts and weird intro's. It doesn't fit with the theme.
