The thing about the lootbugs is pretty much half the community pet them and the other half kills them (after all they're full of goodies. In high difficulties sometimes is necessary because you need the Nitra) and There's nothing wrong with playing alone, any dwarf can finish any mission alone you just have to be a little more careful because of things like cave leeches (more when you're a greenbeard. In multiplayer there are some unwritten rules like take only one resupply and typing "R" before any event to let know the team that You're ready) and imo you learn the game better by playing alone but you just play however you want. The community is pretty friendly and the game is amazing. Glad to see you play this game and hope you enjoy it. ROCK AND STONE BROTHER
There's also a silly thing about to ping compressed gold or pink thing(i forgot the name) when you find it. I can only imagine newbies faces, like "why they pinging so much?!"
That big crystal you broke with the explosive barrels is basically an endgame-ish side objective, it gave you some money and exp but once you promote a character at lvl 25, you can use an item you'll start earning in future to get endgame upgrades and cosmetics from that
I bougth this game less than 2 weeks ago, i have already 90 hours, you are scratching the surface but at the same time the game is always exactly the same. I recommend you to keep playing to see the cool stuff it has. I do recommend start playing alone, maybe with friends some games. Then, after learning the basics you can try play with random people for going more fast and more hard difficulties (you eventually want this). I personally recommend upgrading first Bosco (the drone) and abusing it, it is very satisfying. Also if lootbugs don't want to be killed then maybe they should not containt precious minerals, there is perk that i always try to wear for that.
Can't wait to see you play this more. The upgrade system is really cool and once you get a class to level 25 and complete the mission assignment (see assignment board next to the drop pod entrance ladder) you unlock overclocks allowing you to make super wacky builds. You should try exploring the space rig sometime to see what is all out there.
@snorpus eh. Even so, it could easily be multiple people. Or at least come across as multiple people. After watching him do the voice, it's more noticeable, but I always assumed that Gunner and Driller shared a VA, and Scout and Engi shared another because of the change in pitch. Cool that they can just edit the one guy's voice to fit the 4 but I never assumed they did something like that. The wonders of technology 🤷♂️
@@themisticmaster551Iirc, Engineer is the closest and is only pitched up 5%. Scout is pitched up 10 or 15%, Gunner is pitched down 10%, and Driller down 20%.
11:44 nah its -RIP ANDTEAR UNTIL ITS DONE its a meme how sad the dwarf are for killing loot bugs but then they go - you schouldnt eat precious minerals it will get you killed people shooting you for killing loot bugs is extremeli rare
Rock and Stone! Also not an extraction game, extraction games are ones where you take stuff with you on a mission that you lose if you fail, but in DRG you don't lose any progress if you fail the mission.
