been at a couple of real formula offroad competitions here in sweden. Well, flat out throttle almost all the time, either it goes all the way, or the engine or something else goes boom haha, really fun to watch!

Hope they enjoyed their time here and come back for more and make this a thing! Kinda like how there's a bunch of Aussie's that keep coming back for Drag Week. Thanks for the awesome footage too! most of them are build with only low range so they wouldn't get over 100mph which would make for a crappy 1/4 mile time

@@BustedKnuckleVideo My point is that I was surprised they did as well as they did, despite not having 100% purpose-built cars for this particular sport. But in the end, you can see why you need to. It's simply too extreme a sport, performed at too high a level, in order to excel at with anything but the best. Like you said; it would be the same if Formula Offroad cars were used in Rock Racing.

If only they still came over to the USA, I'd like to purpose build one to compete

@@BustedKnuckleVideo the axle gearing is wrong. Not the T-case. I very seriously doubt they swapped the gear sets before throwing those smaller tires on. I also doubt they were in low range to begin with as they would run through 3 gears just to get to the base of a hill.

The rules are pretty simple yet can be brutal, and they're also to improve ones skills (so works both ways), If you roll, your run is over even if you end on the wheels - 20 points a tire that doesn't go through the gate correctly (- 100 max if you go through it really poorly, at least one tire must go through), - 50 for stopping (stacks up each time, don't remember how long is considered a full stop), - 40 for reversing (stacks up each time you do) and the final gate is usually the hardest so - 10 a tire that doesn't go through it ( - 50 max if attacked with a poor line, again at least one tire must go through it to clear it) if you roll on your way through the end gate you get only 300 points as you must drive through it for the max of 350, can roll afterwards
