Hi Roger, found your channel yesterday and went fishing today for the first time ever (with some prawns and a borrowed rod). Had plenty of nibbles and even caught an eel of the rocks, your knowledge has been invaluable for a beginner like me. Thank you for all of the effort that you have put into these videos.

One of those knee-height waves is all it takes mate. It can force you to take a step back you hadn't planned on, step into a crack and twist your ankle, next thing you know you're getting scraped across barnacles and entering the water panicked, shocked and hurt with the sun going down. A lifejacket makes no difference to those aspects of the situation you may find yourself in. I speak from experience and a lifetime of fishing. Happy fishing.

Roger go ahead and try a pike next time. I had caught one once, it was bit small though, pan fried, it was absolutely delicious with soft white flesh. Nothing wrong in eating it. Cracking video as always, mate.

That area has many nice beaches indeed, the north side of that point is deeper and rockier with plenty of snags, but great for snapper and kingfish too.

You should try eating Pike one day. Once you clean them, the smell disappears and you are left with beautiful white fillets. Seriously! No bloodline to cut out and very mild tasting. I've caught plenty from the exact spot you're fishing in this video but only ate my first one as a challenge from a mate.

Hi Roger, have been following your channel for several years now. Also subscribed to your channel multiple times as my subscription disappears from time to time. Love watching your fishing adventures BUT your secrecy to location is very frustrating, please share approximate area so others can have a go as well.
