I lost 3 mates rockfishing at a place I showed to them near Sydney.Dont go fishing on swell over 1.2 if you want to fish safely long term and don't rock fish at night.Never jump in to save ANYONE because you are sealing their fate and yours by not running to get help.If someone go's in , run and get help.My mates jumped in after one another, they were all young 17-20 , fit and good swimmers but they all died helplessly.
its all common sence mate i have a couple of spots where i am that you can fish in bit bigger seas up to 2 maybe 2.5 but as a rule 1-1.5 wont even bother
I do weights, swim and do other fitness activitys to stay in shape for rock fishing and so should every rock fisherman as do other sports people. When you lose in rock fishing its not like your losing a tennis match.
Yep its all about knowing you terrain, basic common sense, the right gear and some balls...lol Jesus crossing the road is dangerous if not aware of the surroundings!! Rock hopping ROCKS!!!
This is a real fishing not that ifish bullshit .These blokes could out fish that worsteling anyday of the week with a 30 dollar rod while that paul use's 1500 dollar shimano outfits.
