I just hit play and didn't read the caption. I literally sat back and said, "Oh Shit!" when I heard Michael McDonald kick down the front door with that first verse.

Please let me say, that all musicians are beautiful to me, and in this particular concert, I value all the players, but I just realized that in addition to Daryl Hall being the lead singer of his band, he is also a good piano and guitar player. And that is alot to me. (I'm not trying to build Daryl up to be larger than life), but that is impressive.
Damn, Michael, you just don't sing; you sang, brother. Thank you for all of your music and the people that you have teamed up with. Michael, you are my blue-eyed soul brother; keep singing.
Daryl was “angry singing” That dang mic stand 🤯🤯🤬🤬. I thought he was going to hurl it off the stage😂. That was a magnificent performance anyway. “angry singing”😡
I honestly don't know how I feel about this, but just that it was nice seeing two different musicians from different bands get along, and play so well together. But if I hadn't seen this just now, I never would have believed it! Normally, they would seem totally mis-matched, huh? Michael McDonald is a strong singer too, as well as Daryl Hall. But then, how come the rest of the regular usual Doobie Brothers members were not in this??? What's up with that? I have seen in the comments of different videos, that there seems to be a war or strong differing of opinions, about Michael McDonald, and I always liked him. Never had a problem with him. My daughter looked him up, she said that Michael is an Aquarius like her, and she can see the Aquarius in him. He definitely has a unique voice. And I notice that when he plays his piano, he has a consistent passion for his singing, like nothing is going to stop him! You can tell with Michael, that he is going to do whatever he has purposed to do. It just seems to be an unspoken understanding. And maybe Daryl had to adjust, or try to go along with Michael's ideas? Aquariuses are usually leaders, and they do it so automatically, that everybody around them just follows what the Aquarius dictates, without stopping to remember or question what just happened, type of thing. Daryl looked really good in all of these songs from this concert. The BEAUTY of the Daryl Hall effect, is evident here too. And lastly, I like and admire how Daryl seemed to curteously and professionally, yield to his guest partner, Michael McDonald. (And we haven't forgotten our dear John Oates, he did look quite content and well adjusted to this arrangement). Like he enjoyed the singing experience, and the gathered assemblege of musicians. I bet you if you asked John, he'd probably describe this memorably and fondly. It's not fair that this was done all the way back in 2004 though, because I didn't have my thoughts on stuff like this, I was busy trying to raise a 6 year old then, by myself. I just listened to my collection of music CD's, and I didn't even know that Hall & Oates were still singing!! How embarrassing, and very disappointing. If I had only known about Daryl Hall, that he continued singing in the band, I would STILL have stayed being a fan!
Also, please let's give recognition to all the instrumental and percussion sounds players, I heard them playing at the beginning of this song. Without them, all we would hear is the singers with no background music.
