A little update of the ROCKBROS RHL1000 flashlight, The flashlight itself is working great, the power is very good. But the support design is not very good. I passed over a big pothole and the flashlight fell due to the shock.
on top of the quarter-turn mount (the one you slide it onto the light) you have a tiny screw to lock the mount in position, not to drop due to vibrations. carefull not to overtighten it!
Sad to see such a great headlight get scratched and be in that condition and hope to see products online that defeats the light falling against hitting a pothole
if anyone's reading, I dropped one from like 4' onto a solid floor and it stopped working. I removed 4 screws from around the charging port (there's a sticker that peels off). Found that the weld to the lithium cell broke off. Put a couple shims in and it's now working again. Others have added tape to keep the battery from shaking up and down, which should help prevent failure too.
Don’t slide it on and off. You rotate it on and off the mount to avoid wearing the mount down. Also, it is meant to be used horizontally not in a drop position and you would be advised to put the clamp around the middle of the light for balance. Hope that helps
Yes, I thought about that later on. It was my first flash light from AliExpress and I was overwhelmed by the amount of offers. Luckily they are not that expensive.
@@YuichiTamaki But it's a good thing I saw your video. I was planning on getting the same model as yours since it is cheaper but after seeing that it would come loose after some time, I'd rather get the one with the built-in mount. Thanks for the info!
