Its funny cause RL has the blueprint to literally be the best money generating game out there, we had an in-game economy and creators that were pumping out custom maps for FUN. Epic has all the resources but, idk why they wouldn't improve the game. Seriously RL can be a fucking infinite money glitch that any business would want its ridiculous.
Very good video! Sadly this is the truth we live in nowadays. Personally I love the game, and still refuse to stop playing after putting upwards of 10 000 hours into it, but how it's being treated by Epic makes me think that might end soon ):
10k hours insane. Yeah that much dedication towards this game is going to make it almost impossible to stop playing. Hopefully epic adds more content so that hopefully you can drop another 10k in the future.
Rocket league started dying when Epic games bought it.. Yeah they brought a bit of hype but soon shat on us by removing trading burying the game even more. I have my region set to EU but still get placed in South American servers in Tournaments, I'm the only one who gets 600ping been like that for many months now
Yeah epic definitely gave RL a jump when they made it free to play, but removing trading for that RL mode in fortnite was really bad. Sorry to hear about your server issues.
overall. i truly believe rocket league players will always play this game even with epic screwing up everything and even taking certain elements away from players. my full stance is it will never die UNLESS somebody else comes out with a game that's similar enough to it to actually compete with it. face it. your addicted to the game just like many others. its fun and you keep coming back to it. unless we have a competitor rocket league has ZERO reason to be better. if you've never been hooked on drugs before. this is a light version of it
I agree. Alot of people will keep playing RL regardless of its state. And yeah unless a competitor come out, then people can switch but I highly doubt that will happen anytime soon.
i think rl is trying to make a recovery from which i heard the want to add a new feature in the game and im not suree but i think the communication got a bit better then some months ago
I would assume that they do wanna fix RL. And yeah there adding a feature where you can see your teammates boost and how much they have left. I think it might be coming out today. Hopefully they keep adding features like this.
I have stopped playing the game and don't watch it but you are sooo underrated like allot video quality and everything is the best keep up the good work (i subbed)
To be honest RL did confirm UE5 being made. It was leaked and their main dev for communication made a statement about it. It was either Devin or Connor I don't remember, but if you're going off of the offical rl twitter/rl website then yes I don't believe they made a statement about it. It was in such early development that it didn't even make sense to have a statement.
Yeah I didn't know that Devin made a statement about it. And yes it being in early development means that there isn't an update to give but it's not in early development anymore. The leak came out in 2021 it's been a while since then and still no official update.
I love rl, I'm gonna play it despite the bad decision epic make. I also think rl is not in the best spot, however the game is so unique it can stay alive for a really long time, and with some investment by epic it can grow insanly popular. I don't think it's gonna die that fast, there is nothing that can replace it
Yeah I definitely think that RL will be around for a while regardless of its current state. Only question is how long can content creators last before they get bored of streaming ranked every day.
No actually. Alot of content creators don't have the money or the skill set to just make another RL. Also I'm pretty sure that those content creators wouldn't want to give up on RL either.
It was a very very low state like 2 months ago but right now it’s getting better and better. We actually have more communication. They changed the rlcs format, annonce the location, the major was really fun to watch, we actually have a hugeeee update today. And we are still at about 500 000 actives player everyday.

I would be happier if they put more work on consistent updates. I'm having much fun playing the game and gameplay / mood has not gotten worse with the shit epic is doing.
Yeah epic definitely changed Alot of things but I'm not sure why there are not communicating at all. Just an update on what they are working on would make Alot of people less stressed about RL
TLDR for this short story of a comment: Epic sacrifices doing anything because for better or worse Rocket League is an exclusive experience. UE5 was a baiting gaslight of the community as it ended up being those Devs working on Rocket Racing. Smurfs and "Road to X" suck If memory serves yes it was a Psyonix employee (which would infer rocket league news) that made the statement years ago. Since then it was absolute radio silence, then came the announcement of "Rocket Racing" which was worked on by Psyonix devs. A bit of clarity would have been nice to know nothing is being done in that regard to this one of a kind game, it is both its awesome and cursed existence due to the way epic is choosing to play the situation. But... instead they decided to gaslight the entire community into believing something "epic" was coming. No one else would get away with this kind of stuff. But as i mentioned they quite literally do anything they want because of Rocket Leagues exclusive take on a game. Very sad. I dont blame F2P, it brought a LOT of people in which is good. But not taking any measures to combat community grown issues is wild. My personal experience in C2 is we'll call it less than desirable. Smurfs, bot teammates i can only assume from boosters, you name it. More people in content creation like Volatile here preaching the truth, but too many are afraid to say something. Their livelihood depends on this games success and their community engagement with their channel so walking a line of not pointing out and damning the problems the 99.9% of the playerbase experiences in the gameplay loop is to save their own skin. But its a short gambit as these issues will erode more and more of the player base. Ill be real too, i see "road to x" I cringe... its another high level creator exploiting the lack of protections and enforcement. If nothing happens to them with all that proof? why would it happen to everyone else. Even if they climb the ranks fast... their intentions arent malicious in an ideal situation but that certainly doesnt count for Mr sub 100 wins slapping around lobbies in Champ and throwing a certain number of games to keep it parked there so they can farm clips, or to be honest? Just feel like the most powerful person there. Pathetic behavior
First of all you mentioned that i am not calling out epic games for specific problems to "save my own skin". i didn't make this video to help epic or to expect epic games to see it. I just made this video to share my thoughts on RL. On top of that i have a channel with less than 100 subs and 3 videos. I have nothing to lose by calling out epic. Also I'm not a RL content creator. I made my channel and built it on horror game playthroughs. i recently changed up my content and this was the first video i made with my new format. Its a little bit rude of you to assume that I'm a RL content creator based on one video. If you feel like RL content creators are not speaking about epic to "save there own skin" that's fine but don't group me in with them based on one video. On the last note if you done like (road to x) that's your opinion and i have no problem with it.

Yeah the no communication is a huge problem not even for RL but in general companies should definitely communicate to their audience if not then the content creators who rely on them.
Say it with me, since you don't know anything about game development: Devs just create the games, it's the greedy, money hungry higher ups that kill games by making dumb decisions. If you don't know anything about game development, don't use the word "devs", makes you sound ignorant.
I don't think it's a big deal. I promise you 99 percent of all people who watched this video don't care if I used the word devs or greedy higherups. I got my point across. And if me using the word dev does make me ignorant I guess I am. I use the word dev to describe the people who work on the game aswell as those who make the bigger decisions. If you want to get literal with it and it's actually meaning then go ahead.
@@DeejayJeanP that's weird i don't remember saying that?? When i use the word devs. I'm not talking about bill who's working on the code for the hitbox, or Veronika who's making decal art. I'm talking about the overall company as a whole and the people that run it. And i promise you anyone who watched the video will understand that too. In the gaming industry and bubble we always use devs as a way of representing a gaming company as a whole. Ask any twitch streamer or anyone who has ever played a video game before. Devs is a common way of talking about or describing a gaming company. Even if it is the wrong way to go about it. Its still the way we talk about gaming companies. We don't say these higher ups are dogshit no we say these devs are dogshit. That's how it is and if you have a problem with it than that's fine.
Personally I think RL was in a down spiral before epic bought it. But epic hasn't down anything for the game other than make it free to play and bringing it to fortnite witch is the reason trading was removed.
@@volatile0453 true I mean the updates was better before epic bought it but now that epic owns it they keep putting in the same stuff all the time and no new cool updates that would bring the game back, I still play a lot of rocket league and I enjoy playing ranked but I still want epic to make the game more fun or like idk just new stuff ig
Fear mongering wasn't my intention I just wanted to make a video sharing my thoughts on RL. Also I disagree RL isn't just fine. There's a lot of content creators who are recently making videos talking about the state of RL at the moment.
