the wall thickness must be the size of a dollar bill. I wanna see testing results after a couple years

Maybe in a large building where pipes aren’t accessible this might work but be best to put a liner inside the pipe after cleaning. If it’s that rough looking, it’s going to have holes or thin spots that will become holes.

Liners suck I see them failing all the time improper installs you can’t cable with a sewer machine especially in a high rise

Sure they can, if no bellies or offsets. You would want to line or coat the pipe after descaling a thinning pipe, wouldn't you?

The machine is between $4000 and $9000. Plus the training and experience to use it correctly. In your scenario, DIY for you is job security for the service provider.

@debblouin The machine can be rented , no need for an over priced plumber . But one main point is that if your main line is too badly corroded this machine can Crack it and cause you more damage . The best thing in that case is just replace it . It's labor , but not that complicated.
