its got potential but I think it should’ve been integrated into Rocket League instead of Fortnite, or atleast letting Rocket League Players get the chance to get some of their cars/decals into Rocket Racing.
I'm looking for demos, addition of wavedashing, and wall dash mechanics, adding those would add more of a mechanical skill ceiling and encourage more people to try and meet said ceiling.
Yeah man, I was ready to air roll my way around. It would have been amazing if they just got the same mechanics and uncapped the maximum speed of cars. What a let down, indeed...
You know what this game needs? A football mode. You could play football with the cars, they can boost and jump and fly around the arena. To keep queue times reasonable, they should reduce the number of players, make it 3v3, 2v2, or 1v1 primarily. Maybe they could add some extra game modes like a basketball game, or one where you get special powerups that you can use to mess with the opposing players.
Football seems more like a limited time mode, they should make the main game soccer, but call it soccar (Yes I'm aware you're probably not American and were referring to our soccer)
I didn't look in to this mode at all, aside from hearing about it.. I assumed it was going to be a new mode in RL, not Fortnite.. absolutely insane they don't bring anything new to the actual game but put it in their other game..
I'm so happy they wasted their time building a crappy version of a racing game for rocket league in a different game. Would have been a shame if they actually did something rocket league related in the rocket league game. I mean, at least they aren't removing stuff and making the game worse. Things will be looking up next season.
I thought at the least it would be more like trackmania. Instead of f1 cars you would get rocket league cars with mini power ups like rumble. But no bland courses bond mechanics no real inspiration other than maybe original key binds, and car models, but otherwise it just simply share a similar name to rocket league. Disappointed, but glad the dev team will be able to focus on RL now.
Alright Epic. You can earn Rocket League cars in Fortnite. Now you are obligated to add fortnite rewards to Rocket League to bring more people to your dying game. Or you could just listen to one word you're community says instead of removing one of the largest key features of the game and completely destroying the entire community 😭😡
Honestly didnt know about this game. Saw your title in my notifications and all it did was raise one eyebrow. And during the video the other eye brow teamed up to make a decent frown.
It’s missing the freedom of control sadly. It feels so balanced for the players who are inexperienced to rocket league car control. Which is very upsetting. That’s what rocket league is. It’s own mechanic to learn entirely. Like Fortnite’s building.
I like how they just translated Unreal Units to KPH straight across. Those speeds would be impossible to drive at. You're almost hitting supersonic speeds. Like *actual* supersonic speeds, not SSL speeds.
Bros nickpicking everything 😂 you guys look so cringe doing that new players are coming to el and they see this weak community bro not even the fortnite kids cry this much just an advice as a fellow human stop it or keep looking pathetic whiny and weak js
I know it's a game but I'm glad someone else is pointing this out. Makes zero sense. And some of the maps have spectators right next to the road which also makes no sense. You wouldn't see the cars going by unless you were far away at almost mach 1. Seems like a way to market to stupid children. Which makes me wonder about what they'll do to Rocket League.
I've enjoyed the mode so far. Even after I got out of the bronze bot lobbies, it was still super easy to get 1st against real people in silver. Didn't actually get challenging until I hit gold. It's a lot more fun to have some friends playing with you, so that you can compete against them as well as everyone else in the lobby. The only downside for me at the moment is I reached gold and still didn't receive the skin that is supposed to unlock 🤔
Rocket Racing is pretty amazing, i actually do indeed like the mechanics i know many dont but they have to get used to it the game has really good potential but since its a new release it will take some time for epic games to make it better i am guessing when they update rocket racing they are gonna add more cars and decals from players garage in rl and add more mechanics like front flipping or something this would have been really cool if it was added to rl itself instead of fortnite because of all the movement players developed in rl
I played this for about an hour with friends and we noticed that the Air Dodge doesn't do anything useful as some servers are laggy enough that flipping into a wall I'm supposed to drive on, it just smacks off and falls. The fact we don't have Air Roll is total bullshit and it's made some expert tracks cery easy to get hardstuck on because of the janky checkpoints and aerial controls Which is worse because the core gameplay is actually quite good for an arcade racer
I played this earlier and it felt like playing Asphalt 9 with stiff ass controls. I logged into RL right after playing a hour of RR and I felt at home. Psynoix thought they were cooking with this one but....
The mechanics are totally different. Everyone who wanted rocket league racing just wanted the same mechanics to be dropped into a racetrack. Thats it. Very simple and they had to over complicate it.
This mode is not for rocket league players, its primarily for fortnite players still. For them, the rocket league mechanics are way too difficult, so they dumbed everything down.
@Wuerschtle I don't care WHY they screwed it up. There isn't going to be two different rocket league racing games. This is what rocket league chose to do. Merge. They shouldn't have.
@@Wuerschtleis not dumbed down is because of the speed and the size and geography of the map that most of the mechanics that are made for shooting a ball will turn pointless and take the space for other mechanics but who knows maybe they'll add some in the future because of player demands
Since I started playing this game I have always finished in the first place, I can say you can transfer skills but not from RL is from Mario Kart, this game is basically Mario Kart without runnes.
It looks like a generic kart racer that's been done at least as well or better than other kart racers that have had middling to low success. I don't see much that would attract much of a player based from RL or Fortnite, let alone brand new players coming from the racing fandom.
Would it kill a games company to release something that worked straight out of the box Also, I can't see anyone playing this in 3 years time, let alone 8
All-right, here's my thoughts, not that anybody asked but here they are. This is all just Track Mania but worse. It's just another game type which is popular amongst kids willing to spend money, so they ripped it off and tried to put a Rocket League title on it so that they have an excuse for not fixing and using the potential of RL. If you think about it, since none of the RL mechanics have actually been incorporated into RL racing, it really is just a Fortnite game mode. It would be better if this was in actual RL, so that they don't abandon us and it seems more like the RL title actually belongs, instead of putting it into Fornite. If they did, a lot of the transfers would've been easier and all the mechanics as well, it would just feel like actual RL but without the ball and you're racing, like the title of the game mode says it will be. THIS isn't RL racing, but a random racing game with branding. They really need to step up their game.
i’m surprised to see so much people disappointed in this. i’ve genuinely been having a blast playing this mode, grinding ranked has been addictive for me and i’ve learned many ways to improve.
All they had to do is build maps, add boosters on it, create a stick too wall button and that you get boost from power sliding. The rest is just Rocket League. Voila a better game.
The entire purpose of epic purchasing psyonix was for money. Psyonix needed better servers and epic has yet to give us that. I firmly believe RL will die out or become close to dead before 2025.
News flash, it's not Rocket League. It's a Fortnite game mode with RL cars. lol. You also have to remember that the controls in Rocket League has alot of freedom. It does not look like that in RR.
Yeah I won’t be playing this. It’s much more similar to trackmania than other racing games, seems very childish with all the boosts and flying stuff. Shame it’s not rl mechanics, which could’ve helped people move over if they got good at racing. Oh well
They should have just released it as a seperate thing. Fortnite racing. And have like a day 1 RL tie in to make it clear they were just using assets and nothing to do with mechanics/playstyle.
@corroded Rocket League sold each colored car separately, do the math and you'd find out that you'd end up spending way more instead of this bundle. Cause fun fact: People spent a loooottt of money for the same car body with different colors.
Rocket League will become part of the Fortnite universe as an 'experience' down the road. Just like how Roblox works. At least will be Unreal Engine 5..
I'm outraged by how this will not serve anyone, the core Rocket League players don't find this appealing because it is SO not RL, and Fortnite players won't find RL appealing because it is SO not Rocket Racing. The ONLY overlap is the cars and THAT'S IT. It is so infuriating man... We lost 2 years of game development, game modes, core features, and so much more for THIS?????
i think if they just remove the snapping that would be the best thing for the game right now give us the control of car then we are talking, racing game and we don't even have a proper control of a car is just bad
I prefer this over trading. This is my own opinion. Maybe its because I dont trade as I find the concept of spending irl money for electronic items boring.😅
Rocket League is a sandbox. This is not. The car feels janky because there is so much scripting going on, as opposed to just offer good physics and a set of rules. That makes the skill ceiling actually predictable, whereas Rocket League has no limit; I repeat, because its a sandbox.
Aye bro we played comp together last night, u were on the other team, i asked how emmie was doing. U beat us down tho i was semi star struck and i was playing like ass but ggs sir, thanks for the vids (its SeeReal on RL)
nice. take away trading to transfer stuff to a gamemode that has nothing to do with rocket league. Epic Games buying psyonix just to steal all the developers has to be the worst thing that couldve happened
The powerslide mechanic is just ripped from CTR which was ripped from Mario Kart. It looks absolutely trash let's be honest. Won't be installing Fortnite for this, and quite frankly it's shocking RL has missed out on content so Psyonix can create this mid/low tier copy game when they have such a unique/pioneering game getting ignored.
Mobile Ads that are actually trash Part 5! 2 years of development for this? - look and controls like a Brower or Mobile Game... - No Demo... - nearly no Item Transfer from Rocket League Account -...
The mode is really bad, ive had a few matches where i finish first in my screen but at the results page, it say i got like 4th even though no one finished before me.
Imagine removing trading just for a crappy Fortnite game mode. Yeah it’s okay I guess, but we have Trackmania. Epic seriously did not have to remove trading to make this game
