So my knowledge of Elton John was practically 0% going into Rocketman. I really just knew that he's a mega pop star. However I didn't know what I didn't know. So many of his songs have crept into my mind that I had no idea were his. Taron Egerton had a complete transformation for this movie. There were only a few moments I saw his normal self show, otherwise pure acting talent.
I really liked the progression of this movie. From surprising me at first with being a musical to having a nice somber ending and everything in between. Little upset at myself that I was taken in by the Richard Madden character since he turned out to be such a jerk.
