the rockets had home-court because the top 2 spots cannot be occupied by one division. Since Utah (midwest division) had the best record in the west, they were #1. the #2 spots went to the sonics because they're in the pacific division based on what i stated in the beginning. The rockets had home-court because, although they had the same record as the sonics, the rockets had a better record heads up against the sonics.
I think you mean the 97 team was scary, and they lost at home to the Jazz, not the Lakers in the Conference finals. But yes, they were very good, and this was an awesome series to watch.
@joekiddlouischama Not in Seattle it wasn't. I remember that it was supposed to be on tnt but in Seattle the home games were blacked out on that channel-both regular season and playoff home games. If you wanted to watch the game on tv you had to pay the cable company extra to watch Sonics home games on Pay per view. I was mad because that could have been the Sonics last game of the season and I would have missed it.
I do like this New era we are in now “Post GS Dynasty Era” but The CBS (LakersShowTime/Celtics/BBDetroit/80sPhilly) and NBC (Bulls/Rockets/Spurs/Shaqkobelakers) are the best eras for sure! And We do Get Shaq, Chuck, And Kenny The jet on the halftime report! And EJ is still here! (Surprisingly EJ been around since the NBC Days!)
if you look at that rookie season he had, he made all-nba rookie 2nd team along with Kobe bryant and ray allen...i wouldn't call that worst PG ever...im sure you can a pg worst than maloney.
