Wow you and Jobu are blessed with some amazing riding country and the bike sounded amazing. I recommend taking a chopping board for your side stand - it also comes in handy when wearing high heels. 😂
After watching your GT having issues, mine stumbled twice at a Dairy Queen- stalling twice but made it home. Cleaned and regressed the relays the next morning. Back to normal. Enjoyed today's video.
7:09 Rockfish Gap is 5 miles from my house, very much like the Parkway is east of you up Rt 60 from Buena Vista. 50 years ago we rode our bikes or drove our hot rods and partied on the mountain. I worked for years land surveying in the Rockfish Valley, it was hot and humid. There were no breweries for many years and now we are inundated with them. 😊
The blue ridge tunnel is at Afton, goes under skyline/250/64. About 8/10 mile long. The east entrance is a much easier approach to the tunnel than the west entrance. Drove by 56 many times, didn't know about the bridge over the Tye river. Enjoying the videos!
This was a great tour. Thanks for taking us along. Some of my favorite memories are of riding my old KLR 650 around the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Foothills Parkway, and the road through Great Smoky Mountains N.P. in N.C. & T.N. I really like that Enfield of yours. You sure have it dialed in properly. Happy Trails!
Going west on RT. 56 between 151 and the Parkway is Montebello and Crabtree Falls (@ 15:00) and Ravens Roost was a hang-glider haven for many years; my house is in the valley off in the distance about 8 or 9 miles away. With the Parkway so close by it is very convenient as you well know. 😊
