Rockford Fosgate 12" HX2 recone 3.0" voicecoil 

I had the prior HX2 model in 15"s and loved them!! They were absolutely beast for the time, on an 800a2 on each.. beat the shit out of the daily, without issue!

Back in the day, I used to have 2 of these hooked up to an Orion Xtreme 800 high current amp. They sounded amazing!

The 2001 RFR3115 is one of the best sounding subs I've ever heard, so musical and powerful.

i just put a hx2v2 motor on a cerwin-vega 4 spoke 18 basket , lord of bass dual 10 inch spider and spl tall 18 inch cone with carbon 7 inch cap . its for a el-36d box for my room with a crown ce2000 amp . woofer was blown so was the hx2 15 . had too center the basket and drill new holes to mount basket . sandblasted the frame and powdercoated it neon green then got motor remagnatized . old vega frames are cool because they have 6.5 landing and if you grind it out there is a 8 inch landing all ready there . i go 1 further .. vega uses 5 inch deep cones and modern cones are at 4 inch . i make a 10 inch landing out of 1/4 inch steel and at each of the spokes i drill a 5/8 inch hole up to thew the plate then tap it . take a 5/8 grade 8 fine corse bolt and tighten the 4 bolts . weld from under the bolt to the landing . cut the end off fill the hole with weld and grind it flat . powder coat it and now you got a ti basket free ! now in a folded horn it is just flat out insane compared to any pa sub on the market !

Good video, but I concern myself with the continuous blowing off a what looks like a really dirty cone without any cover over the coil pocket.. could just be stuck on crap idk, Liked the video great job with the stitching especially the last stitch being a difft color. For some reason, I really liked that extra little something that I feel showed a bit more care in the assy side.. again the Older HX2 15's were beast.. I have 15" T2's now, they sit in the closet, but still miss the HX2's.

I have a pair of he2 12's I bought back in 2001 or so. I wouldn't mind doing this to mine. I completely forgot I had them in my storage unit 😂

I'm replacing the voice coil in a 15" Dayton Audio Single 4 ohm 800 watt rms 1600 max Reference sub that has a gap measurement of 63.6mm inner and 69.5mm outer, 58 mm deep. The voice coil that came out of it was pretty messed up but measured 64.2 inner, 67.5 outer, winding height 35mm, and the total height was 78mm, but that may be off a little because of how badly damaged it was. My issue has been finding a voice coil that works because they're all either too big or too small, and I've looked all over the planet for one. Even eBay, Lord of Bass, and Dayton Audio themselves don't sell the parts to these woofers and my best option has been getting one made in China, but they want me to buy a minimum of 25 of them and I only need 1. The spec sheet says they're 64mm voice coils but that's the only measurement it gives, and it's all anyone can tell me the measure. The problem is there are no voice coils out there that fit its description. Unless it's a 63.6 mm voice coil but I don't see how when that would be rubbing up against the center of the motor structure. Got any advice?

Quite a few years ago I had a system with 4 hx2 12's. Had a sony xm2100g on each sub. Would crank out 152 decibels all day. They are very good subs.

I recently acquired a pair of RFD2210, and they are in need of reconing. Can I ship them to you to be rebuilt? I would also like to have them rebuilt into d2 subs. If this is a viable option, how much would that cost?

Question, how does the new power T1 compare to the old Power HX2? Like if I have dual 10’s T1 against a single 12 Power HX2, would the sq be better and louder on the newer Power T1 series?

Where did you get the Punch HX2 3 inch coil? I can only find the 4 inch Power HX2 coils.

What program did you use to collect the new TS Parameters? I need to rebuild a pair of Rockford Fosgate RFD1212's and also would like this program to check manufactures "Incorrect" TS Parameters as I've come across companies where their Parameters don't make any sense!

I've been using this 3- 12 inch HX2 fosgate for the last 23years bump everyday woofer's 🤔💭 are this the only one that will last a lifetime with being used everyday for this long from 2000 and got a per of series one fosgate 12inch and 4inch from the 1994 my 5 best woofer's 🤔

bummer kinda wish i saw this before i threw my hx2 in the trash because of slinky syndrome. i would have shipped it to mr m for repair......

Tight work, maybe describe parts more as "the factory, or original" rather than "the old" when rebuilding a well-respected product such as this, had these in 15, 12 and ended with a single 8 as life became complicated.
