You are truly so blessed to live where you do that you can find places like this to hunt for these small treasures. When I first started getting into minerals and semi precious stones, I would watch other channels with "rockhounds" who would go hunting to try and get an idea of where I could go to myself where I live at. But sadly where I am all I really find is granite very little color and alot of grey stones. I would have to do some serious traveling to find agate or jasper, anything like that. I do appreciate those like you who post these videos. It looks like so much fun to find these beautiful stones.

So many beautiful blue banded agathe and red jaspers, chalcedony.... just great! And this heart you found was beautiful! I find it gets overwhelming to pick the best of the best ones when there's so many different interesting different ones! I would go and concentrate on finding only one color or type for a certain period of time and then switch to a different one to maximize my chances of finding the most beautiful specimen. Because our eyes are more effective at spotting them, especially when so many are available at the same time! Also cjeck in the big rocks crevasses when tide goes down. Some gems have been trapped and got naturally polished for many many years! Just cleaning them with boiling water and dish soap, an old ice cream container that you closr the lid and shake them well will do, then you can put some olive or mineral oil in your hand and play with the cleaned stones to coat them and make them shine like crazy! Enjoy it all, nature is full of beauties for us to discover and share! Thanks!

What a great idea! Didn't even have to get out of bed to enjoy my walk on the Bay of Fundy this morning. We've been 5 or 6 times now--we live in Virginia--and we'll just have to go back again.

I've only been to Amethyst Cove once since I discovered rockhounding last summer. My friend and I plan to go again soon, as well as to Lobster Hole. 😀@@RAM-Outdoor-Adventures

I've never been to Cape Split so your one up on me. its hard timing the tides for a trip like that, but I'm definitely down to go!

Yup, you have to be super careful. I'd go down just after high tide hits so you are walking while it's on the way out. Then keep your head up and do not look for rocks on your way there lol, otherwise it will slow you down and your pack will be full before you get there haha. I spoke to someone who was coming back as the tide was coming in they had to walk thru waist deep water to get to the ropes. That is a really bad situation. I'm only 5ft I'd get swept away for sure!! @@RAM-Outdoor-Adventures

That would definitely be a scary situation! I'm not much taller 5' 4. I always look at tide times and always keep an eye on it when its coming up . It crazy how fast it raises when your not paying attention.

I was there in the 50s and picked a basket of agates. Unfortunately my mother tossed them when we moved to NYS.

I actually just got Into rockhounding recently. In my childhood years, I spent a lot of time on the Bay of Fundy finding cool rocks, but lived a majority of my life out west. I got a rock tumbler after my kids went to a beach one day and picked up some cool rocks. I love creating content so thought I would rebrand my channel and kill 2 birds with one stone. The quality of my vids need work but its a process I'm enjoying!
