Great finds, enjoy your videos. I wish people would stop painting on boulders along the Bay of Fundy. I want to see the natural beauty, not someone's paint on a boulder. (refering to the pink panther someone painted on a boulder near start of the video)
I’m making a few stops this long weekend. I’m pumped. I am adding something else to my rockhounding, a beach sand scoop and metal detector for fun. Also hoping to pan for flood gold in crevices. Just flakes for fun. I also want to find garnet this summer. I think I have to head to Cape Breton
Beautiful beach!! Love those rocks your finding!! The white one could be calcified coral, I paused and zoomed in and could see some indicators on coral but I could be mistaken!! Awesome video!!👍😎👻🌶♾️
Are these for sale? Would love to have kept the large ones intact, to create a Turtle effugie, or Bear, or Statue! Seams a shame to slab; yet the beauty of these specimens is TOP CHOICE! Where did you find such treasure?
Man you videos are getting real good. I like your style and setup. Sweet finds there, beautiful place, looks like so much fun to explore and see all the history there and layers in that cliff! Every time I see your videos I'm amazed by the uniqueness of the material you find, it's a mix of such beautiful colors and patterns. Great job out there! My favorite parts are the pan views showing the landscape around you and the little waterfalls, super pretty and the view from the air is sweet. Man, I boxed up your package three different times kept forgetting stuff. First I forgot Jamesons gift, then I forgot the fossils, and then I forgot the note, lol, lots of tape, lol! I'm not sure if they are going to open it at the boarder, if so, I hope they pack it back in there good. Email you the tracking number tomorrow.
1st thank you. 2nd Your vids inspired me to start the panning because I love how you do it. I'm not that great at it and I'm not using a tripod and I shake a lot, so it hard to get right. I hope if it goes through duty they have a blast with the tape and it takes them a couple extra minutes to figure out what's inside lol. I can't wait to receive it. Much respect bro!
@@RAM-Outdoor-Adventures I'm sure they will enjoy it lol! Thanks man. I pivot st the waist when doing my panning shots, I don't use a stand either, try to hold my upper body still and twist so it's smooth, and I sometimes take a second take a at to get it right, lol!
I use a Gopro when capturing the landscape and phone when I'm looking at rocks. the Gopro is small and the viewing screen even smaller. so when I'm on my knees and panning up its a mystery if i got the shot or not! but my editing software helps me, thank goodness!
@RAM-Outdoor-Adventures well I went to three different post offices today before a realized it's Juneteeth, which is now a federal holiday and the post offices are all close until tomorrow.
Great job on the landscape footage! Such a beautiful spot. And I love that colorful jelly one you got. Very pretty. I went back there with my son on Sunday and got some more nice finds!
Heck yeah nice finds. Really love those seam flame/plume agates from up there. Jason has shown some great ones too. As I said on the shorter video, pretty spot!
This is a really beautiful video, great job with the drone footage! I am a sucker for a "jelly" seam agate but wow those multi-colored ones with the green and yellow and orange?? OMG stunning! I'm excited to see that cut and polished 😃 My friend and I were excited to spend some time at Baxter's Harbour last summer but we had no idea that at high tide, there is nowhere to walk, the water goes almost all the way up to where you park, there is like a foot of shore lol.
It is pretty amazing their. I plan on going back, that's why I only showed some of the area in drone, and foot footage. The seam agate we found was a great find as well, I can't wait for my next vid. Thanks for popping on by!
Hey buddy, I will have to check out this video after work today, but just wanted to give up an updated. Ymim dropping your package off tomorrow on lunch at the post office. Hope you enjoy it!
This is where my mom grew up (just a few minutes up the road from this spot). She's frail now and can't go on the beaches anymore though has been missing it so I've saved this video to show her the next time I visit. Thank you!
The Fort Gary hotel room that is haunted was room 1302. But ever since the murder they removed the whole 13th floor. It’s not room 202. That’s just what they want you to think
Wow! I understand why you would risk life and limb to pick up a few great pieces. My husband and I go to Nova Scotia every couple of years; do you mind telling me roughly where you are?
1:34 it is possible to fight off a polar bear attack. Throw stuff at it, as much as you can. They are fairly risk averse. You should try to do the same with a black bear attack. If you notice one following you from afar, act immediately. Don’t think it’s too far away to be dangerous. It is following you to see what you’ll do as it closes the gap between you. If it gets close enough and you’ve given it no reason to be afraid, it may decide the risk is low enough to attack you. You need to act as soon as you notice it following you. Rocks and sticks, if you don’t have a firearm or anything. Charge at the bear yelling and throwing shit at it. Black bears get scared easily and run. Do not ever attempt to run from a grizzly bear attack, whether predatory, or otherwise. But if it’s predatory, you need to stand your ground. If the attack is about food for the bear, it will weigh the risk of getting hurt against the ease of finding something else to eat. But if it’s a case of a mother with cubs, she is t attacking to eat. She wants to neutralize you as a threat and will only stop when she believes she has done that. Lay in your stomach and interlock your fingers behind your neck. People survive grizzly bear attacks this way. So anything else and you’re going to be severely mutilated if you even survive.
In 1973, a friend and I from one of New England's southern states, were in N.S. following the road from Yarmouth, along the Bay of Fundy, stopping occasionally along the beach areas to see what stones were hidden beneath the water as it receded out of the Bay. Too many years ago to really remember, but I think I picked up jaspers, agates, a bloodstone (deep dark green with red splotches on the surface), and other interesting stones. I knew of Cape Blomindon because of an article in The Lapidary Journal, circa early 1970's, on the agates, jaspers, amethyst (at Blomindon), and perhaps other semi-precious stones to be found in the waters. In 1973, I don't recall any camping being allowed at Blomindon, as there would have been a symbol on my N.S. map. I did do some stone beachcombing as the tide receded there. Thanks for the photos of that area these days.
Pretty pinky-red color. Wonder how the interior cuts will be. All the stones you cut will be surprises, especially if you slab them! Thanks for sharing.
Watching your video, makes me wish I was 40 years younger and able to drive again. Twelve years ago I developed a neurological disorder affecting my right foot/ankle making it impossible to drive a vehicle. Now I 'travel thru the drone footage' as your explore rockhounding NS and the Bay areas. I enjoy your comments, seeing what you're finding and perhaps, seeing the stones you may be cutting into slabs no matter the size of the stone. Happy rockhounding!
