Nyankies is a pun in Japanese. "Nyan" is the phonetic spelling for a cats meow in Japan.

Definitely my favorite nes game of all time.i remember fondly back in 1991 when my cousin and my mother would rent this game constantly,and i would cry to my mom for her to get it for me.until one day i said,i need to own this game.and i did.it was the best of times.i ll never forget stage 5 i love new york.what a fuckin rockin game

Probably not the first to say this, but I'm pretty sure the Japanese title is a pun, putting the word nyan which is the Japanese equivalent of meow and the word yankies together, getting you Nyankies.

Probably not the only one who is really blown away by that setup but as always, such an awesome episode! It's a little refreshing watching an actual video game review once in a while (and you do them so well).

Certainly one of the more memorable NES games. Interesting mix of historical sights and cultural references as well as simple and cute characters appealing to children. The soundtrack was top notch and the controls were tight if you ask me.

hey this isn`t related to the game but does anyone know the name of that game where you are a boy wearing all blue with a baseball hat on his head who shots marioish balls? i don`t remember much but I now it has like every 4 levels a very creepy looking level (creepy for a kid) with a creepyish music in the background and saws coming out of the ground? oh and also the first or second boss is like a huge robot native american head
