Excellent video for the streets viewed! TY. I lived in the apt above the liquor store across from that old HEB for years. We went through Hurricane Brett in that apt. The nonstop wind was so agitating to my body when I walked the dog outside during that hurricane. You have a very high risk job with hurricane tracking. But you do a great service for all the citizens of these stricken areas. Words cannot describe my emotions, my thanks; I am so grateful to you!
Looks like you were there in the 1990s. I was there a block from you in like 1973. Seemed like it was way more residential there, at least in my memory. Rockport is an amazing place, and I am so very glad as much of it survived as it did. Are you still in Rockport?
Finally! The view I've been looking for. THANK YOU! I wanted to know if one of my favorite stores survived...I know the owners but didn't want to call.
THANK YOU!!! I've been searching for photos or video of our house and you are our messenger - a Godsend. The house is still there. The carport is gone and it looks like a tree may have fallen on the edge of it, but our house is still there). Thanks again!
Im from rockport i grew up there i didnt see clines cafe or the harbor. I did see the old HEB and the Maverick market i wish he would had gone though the harbor.. I worked for the flimmings and bees bait stand.. But it has be 20 years sense I've been gone..
Just a note when you upgrade .... the street you turned on to at the beginning of the video is actually Market St .... you turned OFF of 35 .... the sign looked like it was turned around .,...
And amazingly, only 1 person has died a result of the storm. More people died from rip currents from Gert than with this storm, so happy that everyone made it out ok :)
how or why do you call these buildings poorly constructed? even some of the best were wiped out due to the wind and rain ,maybe you should pick your words more catefully
