This was the first song I ever got 100% on Guitar Hero World Tour. Not just that, but literally 9/10 times I am in the menu of that game (and I shit you not) this song is playing. Long story short I took this as a sign. It is now the first song I learned on Rocksmith, completely.

do you use the dynamic difficulties to learn it? i tend to have problems with them, so i usually just start riff repeater, set it to 100% difficulty, but to around 50% speed, then learn it all and speed it up.. this somehow makes things easier for me..
I just bought this on amazon today. I have absolutely no prior skill on guitar ( guitar hero doesnt count =.= ) and Im hoping I can pick it up. Im so excited to start.
Yeah, when you pass 100% on a song in rocksmith, it means that you have mastered the song "note by note" then the game recognizes you know the song by heart and starts pulling away the notes on the screen ... Excuse my english if i had bad grammar or wrote anything wrong, I'm still learning ;)
Just to echo what MikeBass said: Rocksmith has a mode of play called "Master Mode". When a player obtains high enough proficiency with a song, Rocksmith will start to hide the notes (as can be seen in the above video). A completion percentage above 100% means that the player can play the song even when some (or all) of the notes are hidden.

Riff Repeater Tips on strumming chords that are spaced apart? For instance 2nd string 3rd fret, 4th string 5th fret, and not hitting the 3rd string when playing,
Isharu Matsu It's actually better to learn to mute the strings with your index finger instead. When you're playing octave chords like that, the tip of your first finger should be on the second string while also "barring" down (but without adding pressure) to lightly mute the 3rd, 5th, and 6th strings. The third finger is on the fourth string. This leaves the middle finger to mute the E (first) string, and your pinky is just hanging out. This is the way I've always played these chords, and I've been playing for about 8 years. The reasons I believe it's the optimal method is because: you're covering the vast majority of the strings with just two fingers, giving you accuracy and agility because of the freedom of fingers. Also, when you're learning more complex chords, your pinky and middle finger now slide right into the mix and you've already got a solid foundation for a base structure and muting / board control. The same principle applies when playing octave chords another string up (third and fifth string) with minor modifications. The octave is now two frets away instead of one so the 5th string is held by the pinky instead of the ring finger. The index finger, just as before, still bar mutes every string below it (the "root note"), and the middle finger still bar mutes every string above it (the "root note") I hope this becomes helpful information for anyone just starting out.
Great run through the song. Do you set your note error to high? Or no errors? I feel like all the little subtle rhythmic note pics in the intro I mess up here and there. Any tips for getting that feel down?
No need to be sarcastic.. i am playing it i just think there is something wrong with my install. none of the chords show up when playing the game, i hit them and get credit for them but on the tablature highway the game uses they do not show up. i was just wondering if there was a setting i missed..
hard to see cause since he played this song many times (or few but with great results) practice mode tempts the user to go and play master mode, where you have to play the song by heart. hence, the notes to be played are harder to see
