It’s quite easy to just stumble across a legendary animal accidentally while doing other stuff compared to actively looking for one

I've been impressed with rockstar lately, I've only been disconnected once today, I've found a lot of animals lately, including seeing 10-30 bison spawn in, a bunch of deer, elk, moose, cows, alligators etc...I've had seen so many random stranger in counters spawn in, and I've seen a bunch of gang attacks spawn in too, this has made me very happy, and hopefully it stays like this

I found almost all of the free roam legendaries, keep spawning hideouts, random events, etc. thanks to these almost unpopulated lobbies, so yeah... It's been really fun!

Sure I'm glad the game gets new stuff every week. But I'm most excited about the Halloween updates coming 😂

I'm loving the small player lobbies. Sometimes I'm in a solo lobby and don't have to worry about griefers lately. Haven't had disconnect issues lately and loving the animal spawns. Finding numerous free roam legendary animals too.

This game is finally becoming so much better!

Still can't get over I was actually in one of the story missions with Zumie, the one where we have to rescue thte Marshal in Tumbleweed, and never knew it until I saw my fat ass character in one of his videos. After that NOTHING.

Double gold just means the AFKs are coming back in force.

I am actually completely disinterested in the cosmetic items from the legendary animals and I dont care about the money, so I have been killing legendary animals and trying to give them away to people but I think that they all think that in trying to grief when I messege them and tell them to come to the location and take it off me lol. If any of you get a messege like that on Xbox, it's probably me, and I am nice dont worry

This honestly just hurts to watch because I would love to hop on and experience this but my internet is literal hot dodo water, can't even load in without getting hit with the disconnect. feelsbadman.

Im back playing after 6 months, Hope they keep release DLC’s often. Btw is it just me or is the lobbies like almost empty? There is like 3-6 players and then me.. never ever had this problem before

My connection has been pretty good the last couple weeks. I've found legendary animals all over. The Iguga Cougar has caught me off guard multiple times since I usually camp in Great Plains.

Heyo! Got red dead at the beginning of August (because I bought Xbox game pass) and I absolutely love it. I would consider myself a gamer, and would rank it #1 on my list, even though only playing it for a month. They are taking it off of Xbox game pass September 10th, it being available for purchase by me. I am easily paying the $60, and would even pay well over 100. This has such an amazing game, community, and developer. One reason I believe red dead is adding all these things is, 1. Naturalist update: new to the game, but informed enough to know this was and still is a big update for the game, especially one over 2 years old. 2. They are removing off of Xbox game pass: this means introducing new things after and right before the removal to maximize new purchases of the game plus increase in game purchases. 3. Things are getting a bit stale: not for me of course, I’m finishing up chapter one in story mode and will play hundreds of hours online, but for og release players, things may be slow. This also may bring back old players, and create something new for rockstar to market for an older game. Well, those are my two bits. This is an amazing game. Thanks for reading!

I’m happy with these lobbies honestly I’ve loaded in to lobbies with always less than 6 people, I haven’t disconnected much at all, rockstar is doing good

Weird thing happened to me, while playing the game, a random hobo guy was chilling in my camp, and when I arrived he started to run away. It was kind of funny, I hope Rockstar will continue to add random events like this, it really adds a lot to the immersion. (There also was another random event next to Rhodes, when 2 NPCs had a duel, because of a card game).

I played for 2-3 hours today and didn't have a single disconnect (XBox) :D

So, I've been logging into "empty" lobbies very very often. I don't get disconnected (One time a day at the least) I find legendary animals (3 Free roam ones already)

I've found all but 2 legendary freeroam animals, getting solo public lobbies after every Harriet mission at the moment and very few disconnects on PS4. Happy days

I've had no problem playing and I have found legendary animal's in free roam

The main issue I run into now, if you want to call it an issue, is that any lobby I join either have no other players or have a max of 5 of other players. I never run into them either. I don’t mind this at all though.

Connection issues have gotten a lot better. As far as legendary animals ive come across the boar, dark coyote, cougar and elk

Started 2 weeks ago.. on pc.. no issues .. 5 or less in pop ..no disconnects.. loving this 😍

RDO has potential to be a really awesome game. This week I didn’t get disconnected AT ALL, even tho I’m using a PS4. I kinda impressed with rockstar rn. I just hope this game could be one of the best online games ever.

It’s crazy I hopped on for the first time in weeks & encountered three free roam legendary animals I didn’t even know what to do lol

4:38, 3 Cougars are in the game already, you mean the 3 Legendary Panthers that are still coming. I believe it is 3 Grizzly Bears, 3 Panthers, 1 Buck as a Harriet Mission and 3 Mooses.

Been in Ambarino for 2 days looking for those Legendary Wolves, nothing at all, and I didnt realise how many parts of the map are inaccessible to players...

This week I've been playing alot and have only been disconnected maybe once a day after at least 5-6 hours of playing straight. Plus I've seen a lot of free roam legendarys all over the map.

glad red dead 2 is doing all these updates around my birthday can enjoy a nice causal day of red dead 2 to myself and some snacks.

I love the smaller lobbies...I can do long distance trader sales with no hassle. Not that I lost anything before, I'd just close out the game if someone stole my sale and reload and try again in a different server anyway...but that's what I mean by hassle

I've managed to find 15 legendary animals but only the white bison,beaver by big valley black bone forest and icaci boar.

I feel like rockstar has actually been doing better and I've been trynna keep count of things and I've gotten a total of 14 free roam legendary animals, bout 200 stranger events and been getting a lot of money got 3000$ in one day.

A good mixture I find that goes well with the naturalist role is the collectors role as you search for cards and fossils,etc. you can find free roam legendary animals I played for a good 10 hrs in a day while searching made over 2000$ in the collectors role and found around 5 legendary animals I never knew were in the game. Another example: crushed valerian root costs 10 dollars a piece. Prairie Poppy only 1!!!! And the prices of the pamphlets are usually ridiculous as well!!!

I'm on Xbox and haven't had one disconnect since the last update. Lobbies are basically solo lobbies all the time. The max number of players I've seen was like 6-7. It's usually myself and 2-3 others.

In the past 2 days I've been able to play with zero issues AND I've found the onyx wolf, totanka bison, mud buck, and one of the coyotes

Ran into 3 legendary animals in free roam. Sample 2 of the 3. Got mauled by a gator from behind from one of them. Scared the living daylight out of me when it happened..

Dude I’m loving it, I’m alone most times I now have every single legendary animal available set, I only haven’t bought a couple because tbh it’s ruined my cash but I have some legendary animals more than twice, deliveries are easy getting the materials is a piece of cake, right now I think the game is has enjoyable has it gets, I don’t know if they meant to do small lobbies or even solo or if it’s just a byproduct of the legendary animal missions but I’m digging it, everything is running smooth, a couple of disconnections but nothing major, I really really hope this remains this good

The game is so much better with fewer players in the lobbies, it makes it easier to catch legendary animals. I guess i must be one of the lucky ones, 2 nights in a row and no disconnections, happy days 🤠👍

I have every legendary and non legendary animal clothing or garment set.. from hunting missions to free roam hunting. It was fairly easy enough with a bit of grind and knowing when and where to hunt each animal.

I found the Teca Gator but i forgot you can't poison it set on fire or blow it up try and guess which one i used

I found some legendary animals yesterday, but got disconnected and lost one of the pelts ;-;

Found the onyx wolf by hopping into my camp and the teca gator by getting supplies by camp. I was really happy I ran into them

Another thing. GTA's development team needs to get on board with the benefits page. Vouchers for free rank-limited clothing, free supply for businesses and such would be super nice. Fairly certain it won't happen though. GTA's development division is waaaayyyy more cash-grabby than RDO's. Most they've done for free stuff on GTA is the lucky wheel (yay 🙄).

Only thing i want is having the good old beta animations back, gave the gunplay a way more rewarding feel and immersion.

I had a drunk customer pick up and drop off mission.. the asshole fell off the horse like normal, but he clipped threw the ground. I walked over him till he got out. Stood up walked back to the bar and laid down again. Failed the mission

I was planning on taking a sample of the new coyote but then I saw it killed a dog Long story short I didn’t let it exist for much longer

I’ve found several legendary animals in free room and killed them for their pelts but haven’t found the new one yet i’m on Xbox but still have issues with connecting but now and then when I do get on I’m able to still catch at least one legendary animal as well as legendary pheromones they only work when there is a legendary animal near you

I still have the glitch where the butcher table will not appear for me to purchase ever, but otherwise every thing for red dead is looking up

I was riding through Lemoyne and I see in the top left corner "Legendary Sun Gator has left the area" and I was like "THERE WAS A FUCKING SUN GATOR NEARBY WTF?" Ya hate to see it

They fixed the game and making super cool updates! I found the mud runner and the midnight paw red streak and the marble

I swear the newswire says fill the field guide to optimise the chance of finding one. Since I’ve completed it I’ve got loads probably seen near 20 legendary free roam since they’ve been available

I’ve gotten a lot of free roam legendary animals so far, i’ve gotten 9 which are the moon beaver, ozula elk, maza cougar, cogi and wapka boar, teca and sun gator, both legendary bucks.

When i spawned in a solo sever I was able to find six legendary animals in free roam in the and I took full advantage of it because since the naturalist role came out I haven't found any legendary animals

Found a Legendary cougar (nulu cougar?) It was yellow symbol anyway. Couldn't kill it tho, tried shotgun, repeater, rolling block and each time the damn thing charged me and I'm dead in seconds. I gave up when another player turned up and shot me too. Found a legendary bison too so enjoying these random legendary finds

Just do the solo session glitch with "change appearance" method and look for legendary animals . With this method I found 5 or 6 legendary animals in one day

I'm reading the comments and I agree the game is working better than it has in Long while legendaries are spawning everywhere and that's what u do when u release dlc make sure it works can't u tell the difference when the game is working people are saying hey I'm having fun that's how RDR 2 online should always be I'm glad guys that for most of us it's working and rockstar needs to keep this up because doing this will make players happy more people play than new dlc comes out and that's how u do it

Yay I hang around Tall Trees a lot these days. I’m constantly running into a legend buck, cougar and beaver. Now the coyote will be added to the cycle.

I am enjoying this game like never before because of the "private" lobby servers. No modders, griefers and more legendary animal spawns. But really looking forward to the Halloween Update. Saw some leaks and a new pass.

Been finding a bunch of legendary animals in free roam in an almost solo lobby and using fast travel

I have found so many legendary animals more than once and one time two legendary animals spawn don’t know if it’s rare but their was two golden question marks

I was in the same session for almost 8 hours today and the only reason it ended is because I shut off the game. Servers are definitely fixed for me.

I'm not seeing many legendary animals at all. When I do they jet off like lightning despite me using the pheromone and blending tonic and being a sneaky MF. The only one that didn't run was the sun gator, I got it sedated then its friends mashed me up.

All I want is for the tatanka bison to spawn in, ive gotten 4 legendaries so far tho

Today I have found the mudrunner buck, emerald wolf, lguga cougar and one of the boars in free roam just by luck and the coyote of course

Disconnects and legendary animals work great for most of the time at least for me

after last weeks update ive found 3 legendary animals out in the wild and i havent been disconnected once...i am a pc player tho and i hope that you console legends will be able to play properly soon

I’ve found 3 free roam legendaries all on accident the ota fox while escorting wagons the red buck that I don’t remember the name of while bounty hunting and the teca gator while waiting to do moonshine missions with the boys

I'm constantly getting ganked by cheaters and hackers, which Rockstar has done next to nothing to address. You think those "near solo" lobbies are something Rockstar implemented? WRONG! It's the number of people who ARE NOT PLAYING anymore because of the rampant hacking and cheating in the PC version. Until Rockstar addresses this GIGANTIC PROBLEM in the PC version, they'll never get another cent from me.

imho the game has never run better than it has the last week. I have been getting free roam legendary animals no glitches and everything has been smooth. no errors or anything
