That speech Rock gives to his son is so damn powerful. Its hands down my favorite scene in the whole movie even more than the fight with Dixon. Which looking back now it's so motivational
When he went before the comission and got denied. Based on real life. Initially no movie studio wanted to pick up this movie, and like Rocky said "I thought we had the pursuit of happiness, well I'm pursuing something and nobody seems too happy about it". That and the speech to his son were the 2 best parts. 🥊
There were lots of great speeches in the movie. I'm surprised to hear that nobody wanted this movie, especially given the success of the earlier films.
Creed is probably my favorite Rocky movie. Sly won a Golden Globe for Creed and was nominated for an academy award. My friend went to the Rocky stairs and they moved the Rocky statue to the bottom of the steps. You'll absolutely love the Creed movies. ❤
Cant believe I didn't get notice of this video. I will definitely get now! As a born and raised Philly chic, I loved Rocky Balboa! Great ending besides Adrian passing away. I LOVE the CREED series! You MUST watch. I think you will love! There's 3 and the first 2 are Incredible IMO. ❤ Look forward to your reaction 🌹
I see where Paulie comes from he treated her bad and I can understand not wanting to think about it I sure as hell wouldn’t wanna think about how I treated my sibling horribly if they died before me
In each Rocky movie Rocky has to deal with something. From being a nobody to needing Adrian's blessing, the death of Mickey and his self esteem, his guilt over Apollo, losing all his money. And now battling the grief of Adrian. Rocky's life journey is everyone's journey. That's why it's so inspiring. Life keeps hitting and we keep moving forward. Rocky is great motivation. You should listen to Slys daughters podcast called Unwaxed when they interview him about his childhood. You'll understand Rocky so much more deeply. Rocky is Sylvester Stallone.
I believe that the statue got moved from the top of the stairs to the bottom and off to the side. I think it was because the city didn't want people running up the steps and falling. An insurance thing from the city.
That is the same actor that plays spider rico, vut not the same one that plays little marrie. Paulie misses Adrian and is ashamed of how he treated her. He always loved her
This is a great movie. Rocky getting licensed to fight one of the most dangerous fighters in the world! It held my interest. There was a alternate ending. Creed is very very worth it!
Unpopular opinion... LEAST favorite Rocky movie. I really liked it when I saw it in theaters, but as time went on, it fell to the bottom of the list. It's FAR too depressing for a Rocky movie and lacks Rocky's inspirational feels. EDIT: Yes, watch at least Creed 1 & 2. I can't vouge for 3 because I decided not to watch it because... Reasons.
I thought that other people, especially Marie, did a great job of inspiring Rocky! So there was lots of inspirational stuff in the movie, but people were inspiring Rocky rather than the other way around
