I love when Rocky’s trainer says, “ya see, he’s not a machine, he’s a man”. It’s at that moment hope and confidence take over in Rocky. Sends chills down my spine every time I hear it.
I felt the same way when I watch it too. I just seen the new trailer for this movie and that line is in the trailer but it sounds better man.. 👍🏻🥊🇺🇲🇺🇦🥊 I can't wait
@Mark Lowe - a pure somebody who was training a lot at that time. Fighter in a way, as he was good with martial arts at that time too (put Sly in a hospital during that movie too). Sly? A good actor doing whatever it takes. Impressive too. But not even close to Dolph in case of a real approach.
It’s on one of my playlist to go jogging. Same as “Gonna Fly Now” & “Going The Distance”. I can make a whole workout from music from these soundtracks.
@@l.adodg3r70 Dolf not use Steroids.....or just a feew ..like lot of eightees sportman... not big quantity like Sly !!!! in true life physics 6'4" 230 lbs of Dolf not Need Roids .... 5'9" 215lbs of sly....lLOOOOOOOOOOOOL EASY TO UNDERSTAND
In the Rocky series, the fight with Drago was the most exciting. The contrast between Drago, who is sharp like a cyborg, and Rocky, who is full of wildness, is wonderful, and Rocky, who has his best friend Apollo killed and challenges extremely strong Drago, is very cool. I've seen him many times and it still moves me. Thank you for uploading a nice video.
The girl acrose the street ask me to go see Rockie when it first came out I thought I wood get lucky at 10 yr old but I did not but I really love the movie I am a Rockie fan but not all his movies I like but this one tops
I was 16 living in nyc when I saw this in the theater. After the movie was over a bunch of teens were so excited they broke out into a boxing brawl in the parking lot! Cops arrested a dozen or so that night!! Ahh those were the days, those were the days!!
I do wrestling, whenever I see this I just think, “Be a MONSTER! Don’t hurt anyone but be a freaking monster!” and when I get the tiger out of me in my match I win the match! Rocky 4 is the best movie ALIVE! “NO PAIN, NO GAIN!” -Benjamin Franklin, 1758
Clashroyalehindi the “reality” is that they have been portrayed negatively ever since the cold war. During stalin s rule only , situation was very dire , afterwards it was not that bad
When I saw this movie at the theater thought it was corny, forgot how many great scenes, I’m a marathoner and these contrasting training scenes are a masterpiece.
It was the most impressive movie I've ever seen in the Rocky series. It was when I was in middle school, but I can't believe that 35 years have already passed.
@@lemlim5574 elec the opportunities we have in this age I mean prices is different but there are so many stuff in here in the 21st century that I promise you don't wanna go back I mean for a vacation but to live in it nah you'll regret it unless you live mostly outside and then spend like 10+ hours on electronics like consoles phone computers and ect
In 1971, 25-year-old and poor Sylvester Stallone had to sell his dog Butkas for $40 to buy food. Five years later, after the huge success of Rocky (1976), he bought Butkas back for $15,000: "We were both hungry and lived in a house above the subway station. When things got worse, I had to sell him in front of a supermarket because I had no money to buy food. Then, like a miracle, the script of "Rocky" was sold and I was able to get him back, but the new owner knew the new situation very well and charged me fifteen thousand dollars." Butkas starred in two more Rocky movies before closing his eyes for good in 1981.
Watching Creed 2 and had to take a quick stop and remind myself of this fight. If not for Sylvester Stallion we would never had seen the likes of Dolp Laungren, Jean Claude, Chuk Norris, etc in their old age. Great Movie Producer.
@Alexander Ime Alex - Chuck? Yeah we would know him anyway as he started with Bruce. Van Damme? The same. After Bloodsport, he was contracted to make 2-3 other movies with the Studio - and based on his interviews? He didn't like it that much, but he still had to do something like Cyborg... No connection with Sly at all. Stallone as such? He was always quite clever in a way. See his interviews from 20+ years ago. Pretty clever guy, who always has known what he wanted to do in this industry (love his interview with Barry Norman from 1977). But it doesn't mean he somehow pulled the other guys. Dolph? Sure. I give you that one. No question about it - based on his interviews (and Dolph too). Chuck or Van Damme? Nah. Not even close. Completely missing the point here.
Stallone was nearly killed by Lungren during filming after Stallone said to make it look real., Needless to say it was too real.Stallone is great director.
The same i say, there are incredible things like, for example,Drago knocks Rocky down in a counterattack,Rocky gets up as if he had a spring and goes all out to attack him,and the referee at no time makes him the protection count...😂and nobody seemed to care,me included... I love this movie,it's the one i watched the most times in my life, without exaggeration,no less than 50 times.
@@charlyacevedo1775 Right there with you. The Rocky springback after being knocked down by Drago is a classic. I love it. He'd have been asleep after that hit, lol. But hey, that's why we love it. 50 times at least? Me, too!
This movie was completed November 27, 1985 & many people probably are unaware that Sylvester Stallone & Brigitte Nielsen went on to marry following the release of this film! They tied the knot December 15, 1985 so not only did he defeat Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren) in the movie but he took away his stage wife afterwards!😂 Nielsen married actor Sylvester Stallone on December 15, 1985 @ the Beverly Hills, California home of producer Irwin Winkler. Stallone & Nielsen's marriage lasted only 19 months, with their divorce finalized in July 1987. And u may also be unaware that during the making of this film, Sylvester Stallone had to be flown @ low altitude to a hospital following a shot he took to the chest from Dolph Lundgren in the opening round that caused pressure against Stallone's heart!❤
Drago maybe more disciplined, and thus faster and has more timing on top of being more powerful, but Rocky is way more tough, what Rocky can take with a laugh in his face, will break Drago down to pieces.... Toughness won the game, Rocky is more powerful because he is way better in *how much he can take and keep moving forward, that's how winning is done.* Rocky was clearly *THE SUPERIOR MAN.*
I always wondered why Rocky thought his son should be sleeping instead of watching this fight. This fight was on Christmas day, so it is not like this was on a school night.
I think it would be upsetting to watch one's father take the punishment that Drago deals out. What if Rocky Jr. is watching when his father is maimed or killed?
If fight was at evening then he should know that his Son is surely not asleep bc of time diffrence(USA time is 8h back compared to time in Moscow) So If fight was at 10 pm in moscow, it was at 2.pm in america
There's a lot of haters saying that Sylvester Stallone is not a good actor I believe he has some of the best movies ever starting from all these Rockies and Hilltop
The physique of Ivan Drago coupled with his silent appearance and strange walking style makes him a deadly machine and a fearsome opponent who seems invincible. However the sheer dedication and unmatched spirit to go on against such opponent makes Rocky a legend and the spectacular display of will power filmed in this fight scene is unforgettable.😘😘😘
I always wondered how much of the audience thought that Rocky's montage was a poor-man's version of Drago's high-tech workouts, and how many appreciated that Rocky's training would create a physical and mental functionality and toughness that Drago's clinical environment wouldn't... 🤔
Imagine watching this as a 9 year old in the theatres in the 80's. Yup, what a feeling it was. Great movie. DOn't make em like this anymore. They can't.
