Rocky Creek Canyon is downstream from Twister Canyon which we featured in an earlier video. Located out on the Newnes Plateau, east of Lithgow, the same carpark services Twister, Rocky Creek and Coachwood Canyons.
It took us around 40-45 minutes to walk to the start, but of course, we take our time and enjoy even this part of the canyon experience, there are some really pretty creek walking sections.
The Oz Ultimate website ranks this as a 10/10 canyon, we just had to come and see for ourselves. To see our rating, you will have to watch to the end of the video.
This is an easy canyon, very dark in places and just spectacular, we just happened to fluke the light beams in one of the darker sections, just amazing!
A lot of people combine both Twister and Rocky Creek Canyons into the one fun day!
The exit, you can either walk downstream aways, past Coachwood Canyon, and take the long way out, or, like us, turn around and reverse back up the canyon.
