Huge fan of a young Tyson, and the destruction he wrought in his youth while he was still motivated and looked after by D'Amato and Rooney. But Marciano is this truly mythical being. His stamina, granite chin and will to win are immeasurable, he would find his way to beat you and there's nothing you could do about it. Rocky aswell had an underrated defence. Look up some footage of the man, and what he does with his hands and his movement. Rocky was undefeated for a reason.
Marciano fought against old washed up fighters, Joe Louis was an old man forced to come out of retirement only to be humiliated by the bum Marciano. No way could Marciano beat Tyson, this racist man talking is an IDIOT, George Foreman would literally kill Marciano within 2 seconds. Marciano didn't even fight young fighters around during his time, he avoided Floyd Patterson, Ingamar Johnson, Cassius Clay and Sunny Liston... etc, because Marciano knew he would lose, further more the gangster and the Mafia wouldn't allow it.
I happen to be Italian Irish lineage and have always been around guys who SWORE by Rocky and as i got educated in the art and a bit older I also am a believer- best fighter ever no doubt
@Bobby d What planet are you on, everyone knows that when Joe Louis fought against Marciano he was old, washed up and bald. Joe Louis was World Boxing Champion in the 1930's, When Joe Louis fought against Marciano this was in the 1950's, wake up you clown.. Even when Joe Louis fought against Ezzard Charles, everyone could see that Joe Louis was finished. If the bun Marciano was good, he would have fought against younger fighters, Ingama Johnson, Floyd Patterson, Sunny Liston, etc. instead the Mafia matched Marciano with a whole bunch of old washed up fighters in order to make the bum Marciano look good. Marciano was offered $1 Million Dollars cash in his pocket to come out of retirement to fight against the loud mouth Cassius Clay in the early 1960's, Marciano went into tough training, he pulled out at the last minute, making up excuses, Marciano knew who later became the Greatest would whip his arse.
Tyson would dog rocky, he’s too big and fast and strong, his movements were too clean, rocky would have gotten kod because of Tysons countering capabilities.
@@yankee2666 I don’t know why you’re saying this guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about because Rocky Marciano was a light heavyweight boxer he didn’t fight that much people at all maybe two that were over 200 pounds when he fought in the 185 pound division so Mike Tyson for bigger and stronger people He got hit harder so when people say Mike Tyson don’t have chin and Rocky Marciano does it makes me laugh because Rocky Marciano never fought tough people like Mike Tyson did apparently you don’t know your boxing Rocky Marciano wouldn’t of lasted that long probably with Mike Tyson why are you ask Mike Tyson was bigger stronger faster more skilled had sidestep Rocky Marciano did not have that he did not have the head movement he did not have the hooks or the upper cuts that Mike Tyson has Mike Tyson coming back into the ring for his age he’s in pretty good shape now if I’m right Muhammad Ali fort Rocky Marciano when Rocky Marciano was 45 he was in decent shape so was Mike Tyson at 45 now look at Mike Tyson at his age he still doing great who knows what’s in store for him when he goes in the ring and the fighters he’s going to fight before you tell somebody they don’t Know what they’re talking about no your history know what you’re talking about oh yeah to top it off Rocky Marciano use 3 to 4 ounce gloves the regulations on gloves were different back then Mike Tyson used 8 ounce gloves it was hard for him to knock people out and he still didn’t could you imagine Mike Tyson with 3 to 4 ounce gloves he will never lost and Mike Tyson for people that had a lot more skill Rocky Marciano was like Boris the bear in Cinderella man swinging crazy He was not that accurate With his punches like Mike Tyson he did not have combinations Like Mike Tyson a lot of boxers back then just went in the ring and just went up to somebody and they swung their game plan was different boxers now have more of a game plan they’re more skilled boxers back then for boxers that really didn’t know what they were doing so they had a lot of wins on bomb fighters We’re boxers great that then yes You can’t compare them to the boxers now yes they’re shorter rounds but that’s for a reason after a while you get brain damage look at Muhammad Ali he got hit a lot when people say he didn’t he did the rope a dope didn’t do that much for him sad to say when people say Muhammad Ali would beat Mike Tyson just think of it this way Muhammad Ali had a problem with Fraser. Fraser would have a problem with Mike Tyson Mike Tyson was definitely the fastest and strongest heavyweight in his prime nobody was taking him he went through a lot of things in his life that changed him mentally so for him to come back in the boxing and do it everything he’s doing it’s amazing one boxer at his age that could beat any boxer in a street fight easily the ring I know it’s a different story but Mike Tyson has a chance with anybody in the ring and nobody else can say otherwise
Between his heart his chin and is very heavy fist you put him in today's boxing give them today's training and all that s*** he would be unstoppable nobody could beat him they couldn't beat him then and he was fighting guys that were 40 50 lb heavier than him.

Chris Butler he was old himself, and the other "old" guys admitted they couldn't beat him, so yeah i get what you mean but sadly for you, i did my research.
@Al Marcel marciano indeed weighed about 190lbs, but he won against everyone that was heavier and bigger than him. i’m sure he would’ve trained hard to fight fury and have his own strategy, being bigger is an advantage, but advantages are there to be challenged. it would be a great match, but i doubt that tyson would win against marciano. marciano was a smart fighter, so is tyson ofcourse, but marciano isn’t dumb to get caught easily. it’s a matchup that we’ll never see, but without any doubts, would be one of the best fights ever.
Rocky Marciano's unbeaten record 49 wins out of 49 bouts; 43 by knockouts; is hard to argue with. He should be listed among the greatest heavyweights of all time. He was elected to the Boxing Hall of Fame in 1959.
He can you gauge strength without physical test rock fought fighters that would be considered light heavy a today marciano stronger than Lewis klisco foreman Frazier he smaller why would he be stronger
The problem is Tyson had the benefit of decades of improvements in technique and training. Turn Rocky into a modern fighter which would only make him an even more powerful, devastating puncher with even more endurance and there's no question Tyson's in trouble.
Rocky Marciano would have taken Mike Tyson easily, and also Mohammad Ali. Rocky Marciano would have throw too many body shots to both, which would have proven to be major damage to both fighters. Simply put, The Real Rocky Marciano was the best Boxer in history! Rocky fought with gloves that had no cushion and could punch harder, and withstand way more pain and punishment that Mike Tyson or Ali both could ever endure!
Yeah a prime mike tyson had breath taking speed, punching power, stamina, defense and technique. It would be a close fight because Rocky had the greatest chin and will power... he punches pretty damn hard also.
@Cj Rocky Marciano Never got in the ring with somebody that hit as hard as Mike Tyson he never got in the ring with somebody that actually gave him an actual challenge Mike Tyson has Mike Tyson has chin I don’t care what anybody says Just because he lost before doesn’t mean he doesn’t have chin Rocky Marciano would’ve been Hit harder than he’s ever been hit before if he thought Holyfield or Lenix Lewis or Riddick Bowe or any of those heavyweight boxers The best years for the heavyweight boxers wasn’t back then at the time of Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield those were the greatest boxers not saying Rocky Marciano wasn’t a great boxer and Dempsey wasn’t a great boxers but when you have Lenix Lewis Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson there’s no comparing want era what is the best back in the day boxers weren’t the best with their combos in their feet skills moving around the ring and the side step in the upper cuts in the hooks they were very sloppy and they went in there and they clobbered people they wouldn’t last that long in the ring nowadays the boxes techniques I’ve got a lot more advanced look at the way Mike Tyson moved the way he sidestepped he would’ve threw Rocky Marciano off when he went sidestepping and then just an uppercut him A different angle or even just a hook from a different angle You have to put all that in fact when you’re talking about boxing really think about it before you comment back
You need to understand that chin hasn’t been touched by someone 220lbs….fighters back then barely tipped the scale at 205lbs . Rocky was 190….thats literally a slower cruiserweight going up against a faster stronger heavyweight
Marciano retired 49-0, that in it's self should speak volumes. Back in Marciano's day, boxing was the sport that everyone wanted to be the champion in, boxing had the popularity that the NFL has today and every fighter was a world class athlete unlike in today's boxing. Not every fighter Tyson got in the ring with was a true contender unlike the fighters Marciano faced in every one of his fights (except when he got in the right with an over the hill Joe Lewis)..Marciano with some modern day training could without a doubt beat Tyson, and since I am a big Tyson fan I will add that Tyson has what it would take to beat Marciano. I believe it would be a very entertaining fight!
Surprisingly, Don Turner, a current top trainer, trained Klitchisko and others. He said Rocky Marciano was the hardest hitter ever, he could really fight, and would have beat Klitkishko’s , Tyson, or any of the current heavyweights. Joe Louis said he never could have beat Rocky, even in his prime. Even Ali said he didn’t know if he could beat Marciano. Since he was better than Frazier, and Frazier gave him a lot of trouble. I’d say Tyson would have to go for a quick lucky knockout of Rocky. Otherwise they go toe to toe. Neither can backup. But Tyson can’t fight on the inside, where Marciano excels. Holyfield exposed Tyson for that. Tyson couldn’t take Holyfield’s body shots either, which put Tyson down once and crippled Tyson as the fight went on. Rocky would do the same. But with more power. It would be a shorter fight than Holyfield’s destroying Tyson.
After watching all of Marciano's fights numerous times , and I'm a huge Mike Tyson fan also, but don't know that we'll ever see a fighter with a harder head and sheer super human determination as Rocky Marciano. Size didn't matter he hit like a sledgehammer. One of the most convincing testimonies as to Rocky's abilities was the statement the great Archie Moore made, Archie fought Ali and Marciano and Archie said he had rather fight Ali 10 times than to ever get in the ring with Rocky Marciano again. Wow. Rocky damaged a fighter's arms so badly he required surgery on one of his arms. He burst the blood vessels in the arms of every fighter he fought in varying degrees. Who punches harder than that?
Is Marciano really slow? I see a tremendous acceleration of punching power, and here is where his short reach is actually advantage. Relentless. Anyway, it's impossible to compare two athletes from different ages and eras: one must respect their accomplishments within their own times.
ANTHONY DEMAYO It will take more than a day for a slow awkward cruiserwieght who bleeds easily to take down the top 10 best HW fighters of all time. I don't know whats wrong with you guys but find another hero . It ain't happening in the HW division and deep down you know it.

Alan, Foreman was rumored to be so strong he could lift a cow onto his shoulders. Not sure if I believe that but........I would have LOVED to see a prime Mike vs George.
bflo1000 there is a picture. And GopK , joe Louis was much smaller compare to foreman , their style also a little different. Joe Louis was old when he fought rocky. I’m not foreman’ fan his style just not my type.but u tyson fanboys’s ignorance are just too stupid and laughable.
That is 100 percent correct. I love Marciano ,Tyson, and Frazier. 3 of my favorite fighters and I worship Marciano but Foreman would have rolled right over him. It would have been similar to the Frazier fight. I think Tyson Marciano is a toss up. If it goes past 6 than Marciano wins by ko.
I think it is will and determination that wins fights rather than more technical issues like size, speed, power etc. I think we all agree that no one except maybe Ali had the heart of Marciano. If Marciano could survive the early onslaught as I suspect he would then he would be able to put something on Tyson that would earn his respect. I'm sure Rocky would go down at some point but we can be pretty sure that he'd get up again and fight back. As the fight wears on then Tyson tends to become discouraged if the other guy isn't giving up. I sense that your prediction of a late stoppage to Marciano could be accurate. I also believe the size difference would be immaterial. It would come down to guts and determination. Technically I rate the skill, speed and power of Tyson superior to Marciano but not the guts / determination which the Rock had in spades.
lol, Tyson will KO him under 2 rounds, and in the post fight interview, the only words rocky Marciano will say is "what a heck was that? " literally, the guy will not know what hit him. mike Tyson 's speed and power will be too much for him to handle

Well I appreciate that Marciano was not the most skilled elegant boxer don't forget Tyson didn't have a much of a jab & wasn't much of a defensive fighter. How well could he do fighting off the ropes? Not sure Tyson had more power either. Tyson had the speed advantage I agree!

I think you are right uploader...my thoughts are exactly the same as your thoughts. I think Rocky could've dealt well with George Foreman though. George Foreman said that he didn't like sparring with Sonny Liston because Sonny was always beating George in sparring...and Rocky has kind of a similar build and skill level to Sonny Liston so Rocky could do well against Foreman. I do trust the 1970s computer simulation shown in movie theatres that showed Marciano fighting Muhammad Ali and it was a very good and close fight, as I expected. In one version, Rocky got the KO against Ali, so he does always pack a lot of power. Other versions of the simulation had Ali winning by the judges' scorecard and stuff. I think Rocky could be trouble for Mike Tyson.
4:32 Marciano was only knocked down twice in his entire career (by Walcott & Marciano). Both times he got up right away and shook it off like it was nothing.
I'm a huge Marciano fan I was also a huge Tyson fan but if you could put these two guys in the ring while both were in their prime Tyson would win by KO in the first or second round. I will explain why. Rockys fights were long and hard he had the crouching style but still didn't slip punches well. Tyson on the other hand was a master at slipping punches and making the other guy miss. If you notice in most of his fights he didn't get hit much. So I have to give the defensive edge to Tyson. Now for offense even though they have similar power Tyson has a huge edge because rockys style lends itself to one of mikes best punches the right uppercut. So I have mike winning easily by mid round two. Remember styles make fights.
Styles makes fights and slow slugger always win against swarmers!Foreman/Frazier,Liston/Patterson,Baer/Schmmeling... Rocky is slow but his right hand is too much for Tyson chin!

I can agree with this actually if you actually look at the stance of Tyson and the fighting style of Marciano you can find a lot of common ground I believe the trainers of Tyson taught him a lot of Marciano's technique but the one thing Tyson didn't have that Marciano did have was heart and toughness... And buy this let me clarify Tyson did have heart and toughness but not near the level of Rocky Marciano the guy could take a beating and just keep going beating Marciano was never done and he was a brawler type of fighter he wasn't the let's sit back and wear my opponent down and avoid all the hits like Ali and Mayweather no he was the type of fighter that stayed right on top of your ass for 15 straight rounds he didn't get tired he didn't get hurt he just f***** you up.
Why so sure? I think Marciano hits as hard as Mike & can take more punishment. Agree completely that Tyson is a fast puncher but only in the early rounds. If Marciano gets inside he will do very well against Tyson. Marciano has an iron chin & if he hits Tyson he will hurt him! Could go either way but Marciano's iron will, iron chin & heavy duty punch make me believe he would triumph.
Rocky had an iron chin but got knocked down by 38/39 year old sub 200 lb fighters (Moore and Walcott). Mike also had an underrated jab that would've made it very hard for Rocky to even get inside. What people don't realize is there weren't many heavyweights in Marciano's era who had Tyson's athletic ability so it's hard to find a decent frame of reference in the 50s. I just can't see how Rocky with his extreme physical limitations would overcome what prime Tyson would bring into the ring. Also remember, Tyson was getting beat up by Buster Douglas and he found something inside of him to almost knock him out, so people shouldn't minimize Tyson's ability to dig deep if he needed to. I think it would be a good fight, but in spite of Tyson being a small heavyweight, he was still way bigger than any of Marciano's toughest opponents except for Louis (who was 37 years old when they fought).
If Rock had fought in Tysons era with the developments athletes/fighters have made in their training regiments with rest, recovery proper balanced diets and different more effective forms of strength/conditioning training Rocky probably could of bulked up to 205-210 and competed no problem. A in fight shape ready to go Rocky gives anyone through any time hell, win or lose Rocky would be in it to the very end. Rocky had something you simply can't teach and have to be born with. Guy was just as tough as they came.
If Rocky is to beat Mike he must must be much more accurate than he sometimes was. He was powerful. He was awkward. He did have stamina. But against Mike Tyson he HAS TO connect early on and continue the barrage in order to win.
@@bamaraffle8785 lol no they werent, prime ezzard charles and old joe louis would sweep up all of tyson's competition, that goes with old larry holmes too
It's a pointless question! I wouldn't even honestly WANT TO WATCH THEM fight, because I LOVE THEM BOTH. I don't wanna diminish ANYONE of them and I wanna CONTINUE to idolize them. They are the guys I "grew up with" - not Marciano obviously of whom I heard only legends, but - mostly - Mike Tyson. Every Era has it's Fighter - and they BOTH DESERVE Respect.
195lbs Walcott and 188lbs Moore put Marciano on the Canvas early. Super fast and aggressive 215lbs Tyson would easily stop Marciano. The only advantage Marciano has is heart and stamina. That's not gonna come into play if he can't get past the first four rounds. Marciano was slow, cut easily, and a relatively easy target. He just doesn't have a chance with a more skilled fighter from three decades later and 30 lbs heavier. And yes size plays a big role there's a reason boxing has weight classes. I have major respect for Marciano. Some things just can't be done. Imagine if Henry Armstrong moved up in weight to fight Jake Lamotta. Armstrong may be the better fighter, but what chance has he got?
+Hammering Hank Your dead wrong. Marciano was very hard to hit, it's a myth that he took 2 to get in 1. Marciano became very good defensively right around his championship years. Angelo Dundee said when he first saw Rocky he had two left feet but could punch, when he saw him a few years later he thought it was staggering how good Rocky's defense had become.Rocky is taller than Tyson. Marciano with the crouch and Tyson with the peek-a-boo pummeled fighters that were much larger in their careers, weight means nothing with men this large it's all skill and conditioning. I'm not saying Marciano would beat Tyson but size would be a non factor.
+Forestknite I agree Marciano's defense was under rated, but he wasn't Willie Pep, or anything like that. He was hit plenty. How is size a non factor? You don't think 30lbs makes a difference in chin and power? There's a reason fighters are usually better at their smallest weight class. Was James Toney as good a heavyweight as he was a super middleweight? Was Thomas Hearns as good at Cruiserweight as he was at Welterweight? The list goes on. Even fighters who did well in bigger weight classes still weren't as good. Bigger men are harder to hurt. It's just basic physics. Marciano doesn't stand a chance. That doesn't make him less of a fighter than Mike. It just makes him human.
Hammering Hank Joe Louis was 30 pounds heavier.vingo was 6'4 over 200 lbs.Layne was 200lbs.savold was 200 lbs.cockell was 205.he beat them all.he would beat mike easier.
Rocky Marciano was one of the toughest fighters ever. His unusual crouch and his pivoting back and forth allowed punches to come from everywhere. Also, at 188 pounds, he was extremely strong. I don't believe anybody had the determination and stamina as Rocky. He seemed to never get tired. He would have been able to take Tyson's onslaught and then beat him down in the finishing rounds like the video mentioned. As for the insult that he fought only old men, there have been plenty of older boxers that held different titles in their older years. Sugar Ray Robinson, Sonny Liston, Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, Roberto Duran. All older men who came on strong even when they were considered old. Jersey Joe Walcott, Ezzard Charles, Joe Louis, Archie Moore, Roland LaStarza. All older, but extremely tough men. On top of that, Rocky started boxing later in his life as a pro, 24-25 years old and retired at 32-33 years old. 7-8 years as a fighter. And I think he fought maybe 8-10 fights as an amateur. That's absolutely amazing!! I truly believe that the man proved himself to be one of the greatest heavyweight champions ever!!
HE$L NO!!!!! ...NOPE, ...No F'ing Way, ...Mike would KO him inside of 4 rounds. Wishful thinking tho (Your photoshop illustration paints Mike much Smaller in size comparison to Rocky in real life 188lbs to 225lbs prime fighting weight that's almost a 40lb difference, size does matter Lb 4 Lb ...prime 4 prime). Further, at only 49 fights and quitting to save face is not tough minded , especially being that the older men coming into these bouts with him (while he was only 28 years of age) had amassed a much higher KO record and winning overall record then him despite relatively few losses. Stop being psychologically hung up on the 49-0 run (Mostly, ...wanna be washed up cab drivers, then greats after their prime years) !!!!!! Lastly, ...that's what makes the above mentioned boxers, you mentioned so great, ... because they managed to stay relavent in their after years, even squeezing out a championship !!!!!!!
People forget how quick prime Tyson was and how slow Marciano was. I think if people like Archie Moore and Walcott could put Marciano on the canvas Tyson would likely take him out. We're talking Cus D'Amoto/Kevin Rooney trained Tyson, really pre Don King taking over. Also, I don't think you can project what Marciano would be with modern training, you have to take Rocky "as is" from his prime years and put him in with Mike "as is" in his prime (i.e. the guy who fought Spinks). Also, Marciano got cut up and battered very easily and its unlikely in the modern era they're letting Marciano fight with half his nose split open like they did back in the day, so there's the possibility of stoppage due to cuts or taking too many punches. But of the "modern" all-time great heavyweights Frazier and Tyson are the guys I give Rocky the best chance of beating. However, I don't think Marciano would have any shot against Ali, Foreman or Holmes. Remember, for all of the myth surrounding Marciano he wasn't considered the hardest puncher among heavyweights, that would be Earnie Shavers. Ali and Holmes both took Shaver's best punch and not only survived but won their fights. I can't see Marciano hitting anyone any harder than Shavers.
Marciano wins ,tyson would NOT BE ABLE TO GO THE DISTANCE with rocky ,why don't you have a look at the interview with turner on you tube speaking about how good and how very underrated marciano was, take note on what he says about his RAW punching power he had, this man has been involved with boxing for over 55 years +, tyson was a great fighter but fought alot of nobody's, also take note that archie moore was one of the best defensive fighters of all time, also note that Joe Walcott would dance Sonny Liston around the ring like a merry go round ,wake up fight fans and smell that COFFEE, Ezard Charles was one of the great pound for pound fighters of all time, Joe Louis at 37 still had a no.3 ranking and still a very good fighter and better than Ali at the same age, he also would of had no trouble beating liston or tyson at that age ,we saw how good liston was against Ali, and we saw tyson against Hollyfield, did not look that good against good competitors, Top 10 great fighters of all time if you Don't mind , Ali, Louis, Forman, Dempsey, Marciano,Holmes, Lewis, , Frazier, Hollyfield, and Walcott, With apologies to Liston , Charles, Moore, Tyson, spinks, and Norton. @@CTelstra-hw1iv marciano was very overrated. The only fighters he beat was a past prime louis and Walcott. He never faced anyone as young and explosive as tyson. Plus Tyson had the weight advantage Tyson would destroy him
Rocky a very underrated defensive fighter, the best crowder in boxing history. Tyson mush faster, power even, boxing tech I'd give Rock the edge. Stamina is the key I think, Tyson needs to win early and good luck with that as Rock had a granite chin.
Rocky’s always in the conversation about the great heavyweights! People still underestimate him because of his size, short reach, and crudeness. But, he was the complete package: great offense, defense, aggression, solid chin, endurance, fitness, and the determination to win. How many other fighters actually got stronger as the fight went longer? He demoralized his opponents who delivered their best shots but with little effect.
A lot to consider here! Tyson had the advantage of speed and explosiveness. Marciano had the advantage of toughness, endurance and most probably determination. I think it would go to the fighter who fought the smartest fight. Tyson would have to destroy Marciano early. Marciano would have to 'confuse' Tyson and frustrate him then overwhelm him. One thing I am sure of is that it could go either way.
If you had a time machine.....then you would have to send Tyson back....NOT Marciano forward...for the simple reason of the knowledge and any kind of advancements through the years to today. You have to put them on a level field of gloves and training as much as possible ! But I agree with your assessment ! It would be a rough fight...but I would lean towards Marciano !
Marciano would have to go through hell for 3 rounds. He would be knocked down at least once maybe twice. Mike Tyson would come at him so hard during the beginning of the fight. Most people don't know Mike studied the old fighters endlessly watching old films over and over. Mike has all the advantages in his favor not to mention the best boxing trainer of all time Cusd'amato. That being said I believe rocky would win by TKO in the 11th round. Mike Tyson could not continue going through the punishment and relentlessness of Rocky Marciano.
@@darrenstopper1806 uh tyson is like 30lbs heavier big difference and no he didn't. Most of the guys marciano fought were pillow fisted and louis was an old man when they fought
@@sexydudeuk2172 the point was joe Louis was a very hard hitter.Had amazing 1 punch ko power and we all know the last thing to go is power so it’s stupid to say rocky never shared the ring with a big puncher
@@sexydudeuk2172 prime joe louis was a very fast and sharp powerful hitter and was 200 lbs, 37 year old joe louis was 215 lbs so prime joe louis didnt hit much harder than 37 year old joe louis as you think, and no tyson is not a harder hitter, rocky hits much harder look at what he did to his opponents
Tyson would need a quick knockout. Tyson couldn’t fight on the inside. Holyfield exposed Tyson for that. Rocky excelled at it. Tyson couldn’t take hard body shots either. They really slowed him down. Holyfield put Tyson down with a body shot, and crippled him with them. Rocky would have done the same, and knocked him out sooner than Holyfield, with his greater power.
It's so hard to just speculate and unfortunately that's all we can do. Appreciate your taking the time to do what you do. I think we all know it could be fairly even, with one getting the upper hand at some point, or if you throw the "puncher's chance" idea in there... they could maybe fight 5 times and it be different each time. I do feel someone would be knocked out lol.
Tyson doesn’t have the stamina that Rocky had. Rocky would out fight him in the ring. Not to mention that Rocky was awkward and random. Making his attacks virtually impossible for Tyson to Telegraph. Not to mention that Rocky is able to absorb punches. I say Rocky.
Maybe if Rocky used more defense he might pull it off but hes not going to eat tysons punchs without blocking some of them. Tyson is not the right opponent 4 someone that lacks defense and walks into punches period.
Rocky didn't walk into punches. In fact his style was a stalk like closing in where once close, you were in BIG SHIT. Foreman wouldve been a much better opponent.
Rocky Marciano Was a great fighter, but let's face the reality, the greatest fighter he had fought Was an old and not prepared after retirement and financialy broke Joe Louis. He didn't had much competivity at his time. It's a little like Vladimir klitscho and Anthony Joshua on these days. They're great Champions but the Golden era of boxing were from 60's to 90's. And this period of time brought us the greatest fighters ever.
My sentimental favourite would be Rocky. But I can't honestly see him overcoming the disparity in weight, plus Mike's undoubted edge in hand speed. Today he would be a light Cruiserweight, and wouldn't even be allowed to compete with Tyson, Ali, Fury, Frazier, Foreman, in fact you'd have to go back to Floyd Patterson to find a champion he'd be allowed to climb into the ring with today. Pound for pound yes, that's different. I think Rocky's indomitable will, strength, chin, conditioning, punch and infighting ability makes him one of the great, elite boxers at any weight, at any time.
No idea what makes “modern training” some special upgrade. Rock worked out all day for over a decade and was running on Christmas day, I don’t think modern training can contend with that kinda discipline and willpower. People are calling him a myth but just watch the man fight. He had almost no Ammy career and turned pro at 25, in 5-6 years he’s killing the best guys. Then he retires young too. Talk about real fighter
Actually its pretty east to figure. Does Tyson get him in the 1st 3 or 4 rounds ? about a 75% chance of that. Once they get past round 5 Tyson has almost No Chance. IF Rocky Ko's Louis when Louis was 30 is he easily the greatest ever ? Even Louis said I would have lost to him even in my prime.
Marciano may have ko'd them all apart from Ali check this out Don Turner GETS DEEP on how GREAT Rocky Marciano was... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-27DmRjUbqWA.html
Angry Grizzly You don't know shit about Tyson and about the rape story. He had the wrong people around him who took disadvantage of him. Just read the book about his life.
Both fighters have equal punching power, tenacity, and unrelenting will but Marciano seemed to be easier to get cut than mike. I think the fight would be stopped for that reason. If the fight went more than 5 rounds Marciano wouldn’t be able to see from his eyes being blinded from the bleeding
@@sexydudeuk2172 lol there was where he won against ali by knockout but that was them past their primes but still, rocky has durability and strength better than tyson
I believe Marciano would win. Never been knocked out, and few fighters could hit as hard as Joe Walcott, In fact if Walcott were alive today he would destroy most any heavy weight . Marciano was different, a true gladiator. He himself said he liked mixing it up and being punched just made him more alive. I've seen Mike and if he could not get his opponent out within 4 rounds, his confidence waned. Mike as seen, could not take the power pounces. Marciano, on the other hand could, did, and just got meaner. Marciano trained with a 300 pound heavy bag which may be another reason he could hit so hard in the ring. Mohammed Ali said it best when talking with Howard Cosell, that he may have won or lost fighting Marciano, who hits harder than Joe Frazer, said Ali. I don't think any super heavy weight today could beat him. Marciano is right on your chest giving no room for bigger guys to jab him away. Vicious in fighter throwing combinations that could wear any big guy down. Knock out power either hand and endurance they say could sustain him for 20 or more rounds. Finally, Rocky could take the hardest punches and not get knocked out. Mike could not take the punches which is another reason he had to get his opponent out early.
