I've lived on a ranch my whole life, starting working cows when when I was a little one! Now my boys are living the cowboy life style! Love it, wouldn't change my upbringing for nothing in the world!!
Great video, I am a Montana boy (79 young) when I was 14 years old, we strung them with barb wire on an open campfire, when they were done they would pop - great snack when you are riding herd.
My dads dad back in Illinois was the local guy who handled castration of all the bulls and boars. Gave the buckets of balls to my dad and he rode into town to sell to the city folks.
I'm 62 yrs old and was raised on a beef ranch. this brings back memories, my father had two girls and no boys. That was our jobs. Ya to mountain oysters.
Man you are not hard on your kids, you're doing the best for them , you're building charter in those boy. Keep up the good job, your a great dad, they will make you proud
Future "Florida Men". Confederate flag wavers. Kids of parents who are highly likely supporters of that orange pustule in the White House. Supporters of the vile animal abuse that is rodeo. And more than likely will remain blindly religious, since they're already being brainwashed by their parents. Anti-LGBTQ+
I could agree but these kids live in Florida. There education level caps at nut cutting and hate. Oh, and I say this because it is an observation. I made the mistake to move to Florida.
The fact that you involve your kids in the everyday of your business is FANTASTIC!!! Sadly too many kids today have no idea how the world works or what it takes to make a living. Kids who don't work like this get FAT lazy and unmotivated for life.... Keep doing what you're doing, your kids will be the better for it......
Y'all are raising those kids right. Good to see you say grace before eating. Too bad more kids can't experience a childhood like that. They'd be better for it. God bless!!!
It's good to know the youngsters are are still working hard down on the farm... All kids should have to work on a farm for a couple of years anyway. I grew up working cattle, milking cows, growin' baccar, breakin' horses, and all the other good stuff. Great video Bluegabe!
Definitely brought back some memories of my childhood. I used to love rounding up and dehorning calf's as a kid. Those kids are having a time of there life's
Amazing job showing people what Florida Cowboys and Cowgirls do! Great rancher really cares about his charges and good looking cattle! Love the Okeechobee Cowboys and Ranching way of life 😁💓 it's a family business and a way of life 🐮
I'm the youngest of my family and I only had the chance to be at one of my grandfathers famous catfish frys one time, well 80 people. 300 lbs of flathead meat and 20 mountain oysters worth of cooking later i tried these suckers and didn't batt an eye when my father told me what they were, love em!
I nearly cried when the rancher explained how humane he treats his cows. I can see that he is a very caring person who respects the life of the animals and I appreciate that very much. God bless our ranchers, cowboys and cattlemen. I live in Texas!
Gabe I agree 100 percent those boys will have a great worth ethic growing up because of you. And thank you for showing another side of Florida it was very interesting. You also cracked me up with those expressions you’d make before trying those dusted nuts. 😂 . I can’t wait for the next video.🇺🇸
I worked at IBP for six years in in KS. . Worked in the yards . We had many lots of young bulls come through there and were able to collect the oysters from them and all got shared , Roll them in chicken shake and bake fry em up , Also these nut are very small , The ones we got were yearlings or so they were the size of half a beer can . Also if you let them freeze lightly you can peel them an slice them quit easily . very good eating
This great Video caused me to reminisce my younger Years, when I was so very Blessed to Live with my Cousin, my Uncles Family, and for some Time on the Berta’s Home Ranch....and with a good Friend on another Ranch, all while being able to take part in learning and helping with my Uncle’s Ranching.... and Years later, after buying a Green Broke Horse.... again, driving down to Carmel Valley (NOT Carmel by the Sea, though it was fun to visit.) every Weekend, to learn how to Train my Horse, from my Real, True, Horse Whisperer Cousin.... as we would work the Cattle on one of the most Beautiful Ranches I’ve ever been Blessed to Ride and Hunt there... for the first 4 Months of my Horses Training, after which I would Trailer my Horse down there every Weekend... again, working the Cattle.... for what was unbeknownst to me, until the last 3-5 Years, was to be ~ the Final 11 Years that the Storied Berta Family were Ranchers! My Cousin Ray Berta, Made the Transition to Horse Training alone.... becoming a very Excellent, True Horse Whisperer. Back in the Days... at the Roundups, I would work on the Ground Crew... Lifting and throwing down the Young Bulls, (and and occasional not so Young Bull!!) and if only one leg was Roped, I would loosen up the Rope, and get the other Leg in the Loop as well. I also kept the Knives sharpened up for the Ear Notching, and the first and last aspect of Castration. As much as I enjoyed the entire Video, it was watching and listening to the saying of “Grace” before eating Lunch, that I Truly enjoyed the most!! Praise God!! Praise God that you are all Believers! Well I can only imaging that your Boys are already... since all of our four Children, became Saved at an early Age. 🙌 May the Lord continue to Bless your Ranching Business, and you All. 🙌❤️👍❤️🙌 The Armchair Cowboy now!
Love Rocky Mtn Oysters. I use Ketchup and salt......and normally can eat eight or nine in one setting. They are wonderful. I grew up thinking they were oysters caught in the Rocky Mountain rivers and lakes. 🍃🕊
This was such an informational video. Thank you for sharing so many great experiences with your viewers. And that home is my dream home- love, love, love the cowgirl and boys and that wonderful outdoor, screened in , Patio/kitchen!! Beautiful.

@@Kimmie0323 Stop being a sensitive ass. No one is being mean. (Now I am) Your probably one of those people that are ruining America. With all your nagging. You just complain about anything until you get your way. Live a happy life stop nagging.
Apparently a lot of outsiders don't, or even know country land/towns Exists in FL. People think its all tourists and big city or something but its more country and agriculture in FL than anything. I've had people say. "There ain't no Country areas in Florida". Then i take them to the REAL FL, not Disneyland and Universal etc.. And they are in shock. But that's good to know that nobody knows the true Florida cept REAL Floridians.
@@Kimmie0323 kim you're a sensitive snowflake. Nothing he said was anywhere near mean. If thats mean in your book. I feel sorry for whoever has to deal with you... And hes right you are probably an out of town yankee ruining the south with your crybaby ways. Always get your way spoiled brat. This is the south. Here we don't get offended.
Mr Will is a super man and hard worker. I have enjoyed getting to know him. Those oysters are better if you slice them in thin pieces and then fry the. IMO ! Thanks for sharing sir. God bless.
They are really hard to find here in Indiana, but when I do find them, they are a family favorite, and both my kids like them very much. Thanks for sharing!
Blue gave I’m a late bloomer to your channel. I’m a rancher from MT. This is a great video and shows true Stockmanship on how a rancher treats and respects there cattle. God Bless and keep up the good work.
Crazy looking at ranching today. Dudes got the nice house, big pool, all the amenities of today, cooking his own ground beef he raised with his kids after a hard days work... Looks gratifying. I grew up in the City of San Francisco, CA and unlike many decided to try a run at working and living at a Horse Breeding Ranch. Tough work and a lot of the time it was just me out there alone in the baking sun running around keeping shit together. It was a nice spot though, I had access to a pool and hot tub as well lol. I left after 2 years and moved back to the City lifestyle, but I have a whole lot of respect for the farmers and ranchers feeding us. Tough, tough work. Not too many people are willing to do it these days.
thank you i try to tell people that all the time instead of just having them sit in the house all day on their phones and tablets. i grew up in the Caribbean and i still remember up to this day being up and 4am taking fresh water to the cattle and moving them to more food providing grounds. hell i even had to drive at the age of 7 sometimes. miss those days.
9:59 Fun Fact: The "crack" of a whip, when done correctly, is menacing and achieved when the tip of the whip exceeds the sound barrier almost 800 mph. Some scientist believe the whip achieves almost twice the speed of sound.
Spent the weekend with a friend when I was a youngster and his Mom cooked up a big giant platter of them things . So good. Not something I crave but brought back some good memories.
I can't understand how your not over 1 mill subs... I think your one of the best youtubers... The funny thing is i don't Fish or Hunt and i watch all your vids... Keep the content flowing...
Love rocky mountain oysters you should also try lamb fries here in Oklahoma we call rocky mountain oysters calf fries and another great video Gabe you're killing it on RU-vid keep it up. And thank you so much for showing us more Florida. I really have enjoyed this video!
Love rocky mountain oysters. I love lamb fries even more. I eat mine like i eat my fried oysters (sea oysters) topped with a little lemon & cocktail sauce & sometimes with horseradish. There are a lot of foods that we tend to stay away from because just the thought grosses us out when in fact they are delicious. I attended culinary school &saw so many people try food & love it & asked about it & only after hearing what it was get grossed out then refuse to have any more. It's a mind over mater thing because you psych yourself out and end up cheating yourself on some great foods & experiences.
Great 👍 content man! This is what will set this channel apart from the fish, clean and cook episodes that everyone does. Your brothers swamp cabbage 🥬 episodes set him apart in the beginning. Keep up the good work!
Great video Gabe. You are doing a great job developing your channel; I can't believe the pace you are setting putting out new videos. Keep up the good work!
Another great video, I see this side of Florida and the oceanic side of Florida and love them both, have a great week and can’t wait to see more videos from St.cloud, FL.
Your children are wonderful, and being raised right. Hard work ,fresh air and good food. Great life you have. This coming from a shut-in who is no longer a part of the living world. Oh, and just a burger for me, thanks :)
One of these days I will try them before I leave this world. I am glad this one one young man did try it. Now he knows that if he ever has to eat them again, he can. Bless you for the meal prayer. Our dear Lord gave us these animals to use as seen fit. Bless you all in & behind this video!! 💖💖🙏🙏💖💖🙏🙏🐂🐂🐄🐄
Funny. Likely the kids don’t think it’s hard work at all. I was brought up the same way in Colorado when I was a kid. I adopted a man who actually went west in a covered wagon as my grandpa. I begged to go cowboy with him every chance I got. Ah, those were the days. Most fun I ever had. We even did trail drives(his herd was around 1500-2000 head)camping out a week at a time, and guided hunting and fishing trips over the continental divide. We rode fence line, I learned horses could swim (even though I couldn’t),learned saddle horns were for work, not holding on, and many, many other things. That wasn’t work to me. Yeah I thought I was a cowboy as a kid, even rode in the Red Ryder rodeo. Careful, if you ever heard of him, you are telling your age. Thanks for the videos, brings back wonderful memories for me. By the way, I learned all this waaaay back in the early 70’s. Rode my first horse at 3. Fun, fun, fun
