I had planned on getting this whole job done in one day, but equipment failure made sure that wasn't happening! Although not shown, my Chapin 2-gallon sprayer also malfunctioned (sprung a leak right in the tank!), so in the end I used my DeWalt trimmer and a hand loppers to finish up the day. There is still no end in sight to the rain one week later. The current 10-day forecast has six days of rain, but never more than 2-days of sun in a row 😑 I got things as far as I could though, and the main road is 100% useable. I still have a half day of chainsawing to do but I cant even plan that - it is still at least two weeks away!

Still 5 out of 10 days of rain forecasted, so it's at least 10 days out before I can do anything on the road - but that's OK, there is a backlog of other things to do as well. Very, very, wet year 💧💧💧💧💧💧😑

The rain is insane here! Summer just started and we already doubled the average yearly precipitation! We had a flash flood last night, and it was raining so hard there was three or four inches of water flowing down the road! If i could ship some down there, I certainly would 😉

Hi Mojo, well that was a country walk and a half nothing worse when your tools let you down throws you way off course, one thing for though the doggies enjoyed it.

Thanks Larry, I agree! What makes it especially frustrating is that with all of the rain I only have very brief periods to get this done! Yes, the dogs LOVE walking that way! They can go into the woods wherever they want because there is no barbed wire down there 😊

Yes, but it will take a lot of spray. I may need to do that though 😐

Would you think about replacing that lawn with poverty oat grass? Whats your thoughts?

We are experimenting with buffalo grass tight now, but poverty oat grass is a good candidate as well. I may just give that a try on the road next year and maybe spread it to other locations. Thanks for the suggestion Colin! We have other areas (the old horse dry lots) where it would likely do very well. 🤔
