My friend makes these. She calls them big butt brownies because if you eat too many they make your butt big. She pours a chocolate frosting over the top that has been cooked on the stove top, and that helps also to melt the marshmallows.
Please, please, please do a cookbook! I've seen so many requests in the comments, we are all very interested in that. Thank you again for another amazing recipe. Glad you are enjoying your time in Florida and blessings to you both.
Boy, Oh Boy, Do those brownies look delicious!! Yummy yum yum! Can't wait to make them. Have a wonderful weekend and stay healthy and safe. Love 💕 from Debbie and Dexter-Dog 🐶 my sweet tiny rescued Chihuahua 🐕 companion living a quiet crafty life in southern California. (Pouring rain by the buckets), but we are very thankful since we are still on drought conditions. Thank you heavenly father for the rain which we so badly need. And God Bless you, your friends, subscribers and family.❤❤
I am sure she did. We were near the 4.7 part of it. I can't recall what we were talking about before it happened. I would definitely call it a moderate earthquake, not a mild like the experts labeled it. It certainly captured your attention. @@straightforward
As a child of 3 and 4 my maternal grandmother was my daily babysitter. When she baked a cake I was the spoon and bowl licker. I remember one occasion when I told her to leave more batter in the bowl and she stated that a little more had to go into the baking dish. Honestly I think that only half of the batter was in the pan! A wonderful memory of the best grandma in the world!! ❤❤❤ Glad you're enjoying your stay in Florida❤❤❤
You are NOT allowed to make such a brownie!!! This is toooo goooood!!! I am a truly a chocoholic and this is just too irresistible !!!!!! I’ve been following you since I found you on RU-vid and love all of them. But you just went too far. AND to make it worse, I have a Giradelli brownie mix in my cabinet!! Oooohhh you are in so much trouble!!😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Those look amazing. The fact that you ate them while still warm made me happy because I love still warm brownies. They're the best! Thanks for the video.
Bringing back wonderful memories. Many years ago, a when we were overseas in military service, a woman in our church made very simlar brownies and called them Mississippi Mud.❤
They really are incredible. It was great that we had lots of people to share them with because they are just too hard to resist! Thanks for watching and we hope you get to enjoy these soon!

It’s great to hear from you. We are having a wonderful time and we love to escape cold weather. Thank you so much for watching our channel! Hope you can enjoy these brownies soon.
If you line that pan with parchment paper you can lift the brownies out to cut them. Just to keep from scratching your pan. These sound so delicious. And I have all of these ingredients. I’ll fix them for my sweetie for his birthday Tuesday. Thank you Tom and Melissa. 🙏🏻Have a happy Valentine’s Day.
This looks so yummy. I actually have some of those boxed brownies in my pantry. I have all the ingredients but unfortunately I'm in bed with Covid. This will have to wait till I'm better but it will be the first thing I make. Thanks for the recipe.
I made those brownies, I think they were called The Worlds Best Brownie Recipe, & I really believe you are correct! They were delicious & a big hit with my family. I have to try this recipe now.
I just made quadruple fudge brownies yesterday. Whipped cream made with cocoa powder is always great as a topping. WOW! That is the exact same brownie mix I used. I added cocoa powder to it! I also sprinkled the glass baking dish with cocoa powder after I greased it. That way, the brownies are lined with cocoa on their underside and not strange white flour. LOL You need a huge glass of milk to go with your brownies.
This Rocky Road Brownies recipe looks so delicious 😋Mr. Tom. I've been a huge fan of chocolate ever since I was a little boy growing up. It's still one of my favorites to this day.
We love chocolate, too. We’ve never outgrown our love for it. It’s possible it’s getting greater every day! Thank you for watching our channel. It’s wonderful to have you at the table with us.
That is amazing..,i have made it lots of times but what i do is put the marshmellows on it and put in the oven to melt the marshmellows. When you take out of oven let cool then put the frosting on the melted marshmellows and it’s so yummy and so very sweet that you can’t eat but a small piece. I won a prize at work at our company picnic. Great recipe
So good to now have this recipe for some really decadent chocolate brownies with that scrumptious marshmallow and chocolate topping 😋 😋 😋!!! I have two upcoming occasions these will be perfect for so I'll be making these twice before February is over. Thanks for sharing this! And Tom, if these aren't your favorite brownies, you simply must share the recipe for the ones that are 😊 I can't imagine brownies getting much better than this recipe 😅. Glad you and Melissa are enjoying your Florida time. ❤
We have a homemade brownie video on our channelthat’s his favorite (not a box recipe) but these are so so good when you add the rocky road part on top! We hope you enjoy these and that your friends you’re going to share them with do, too!
@comesitatmytable9044 Oh yes, I am pretty sure I have that one saved too. They have a frosting on them, if I recall. I'm just thinking these are going to be my new favorite 😍
Wow wee these look so amazing! I just picked up a boxed brownie mix yesterday while grocery shopping and for once I have all the remaining ingredients too. Now I can make this for dessert for dinner tomorrow evening. Thanks for sharing this yummy recipe.
These look absolutely heavenly! I can certainly see why they would be suitable for Valentine's Day. Thanks for all your delicious recipes Tom and Melissa. And Tom, thanks for leaving a little extra in the bowl for Melissa. 😉
This recipe reminds me of my mother's brownie recipe. The term rocky road was not even thought about then. The recipe has to be older than 70 years old because my mother made them when I was a child. Cake mixes was not even thought about then so it is a home made brownie recipe. You put marshmallows on them right out of the oven and you make a frosting and put on the brownies while still hot. While they are still hot I always have to get me a spoon and make sure they are good. LOL Your recipe is easier and I am sure that brownie mix is amazing. That is the best chocolate. I am going to have to try this recipe, mmmm looks so good. After they set up, maybe the next day, put them in the microwave and warm them and put ice cream on top, no more calories will hurt. LOL
Oh my goodness gracious Tom & Melissa’. I’m making this tonight!! It looks fabulous! High 5! ✋. It reminds me of Mississippi Mud Cake ( “Somewhat”). Not totally, but SOME. Both are to die for! Lol. Thank you for sharing, & the welcome to “ come sit at your table”! Love y’all! Deb. ( In Indiana)
Oh, my goodness! Those brownies look awesome! I’m going to make mine with a keto brownie mix, sugar-free marshmallows and chocolate chips, almond milk, and a powdered sugar substitute! Butter, vanilla and pecans are already keto-friendly! So this is one dessert I can make and totally stay on my keto diet!❤ Thank you, and happy Super Bowl Sunday & Valentines Day to both of you Tom & Melissa❣️🏈💖 God bless!
Brownie lover here and I can’t wait to try this recipe! Doubt a pan this size would last over night in my household…I’ll let you know what my kiddos think of it once we make it.
Melissa, he really doesn't leave you a whole lot to be licked out of the bowl! 😉🤣 When I make brownies from a boxed mix I like to use milk in place of the water....and butter in place of the oil. To me it just gives the brownies more of a home made taste. 👍
Nice to hear you guys are enjoying Florida! Looks like a yummy and fun recipe, Tom & Melissa. Looking forward to making it. Heads up: you only have one package of brownie mix in your recipe. Thought you’d like to correct that …
Please do a cookbook lol! I have saved so many recipes andy hand gets tired writin' em' down. Made your Mounds cake and it was a hit. I loooooooves it.
I am enjoying your videos so much. Thank you for the great recipes that are so organized. I have just made the Frosted Banana Bars. Can’t wait to taste. I am a retired teacher from TN and KY Christian Co since 2009. Hometown Princeton Caldwell Co. graduate of Murray Stae. My husband is a pastor and we’ve moved around some. Love to see what other retired teachers are doing. Thank you 🎶
It’s great to hear from you! Thank you so much for watching and we hope you love the banana bars and eventually the brownies, too! Have a wonderful weekend!
Looks great! My favorite brownies are semi homemade also. Make a 11x7 preferably or 9x13 pan. Make your favorite brownies, the whe. Out of oven put a 7oz jar of marshmallow cream on top and when begins to melt spread. Cool for bit. Meanwhile in about 2qt pan melt 1 pkg. Semi sweet chocolate chips and 1 cup peanut butter. Add 3 cups rice krispies and stir. Put on top of marshmallow cream. I like to freeze or refrigerate for a bit before cutting.
Good morning, the Brownies are so delicious on their own, now with this gorgeous topping, I can just imagine how delicious it must be. Do enjoy a good recipe to follow. Thank you for showing and sharing, a great recipe to have a great time at the tea table. Many blessings.
Those brownies look absolutely delicious! All I could think of is how decadent they would be garnished with a sprinkling of either hot chocolate mix or chocolate malt powder.
I making these for my sons Bee Keeper Party next Saturday. He loves everything Rocky Road...Thank you for this great Recipe, I can't wait to make them. God Bless you both. Happy Valentines Day to you both....
Hi Tom & Melissa, i’ve been enjoying your videos for a couple of months now. Practically everything you make looks so good! And this “death by chocolate dessert” today. looks absolutely incredible! I’m sitting here on my sofa in Seattle and I would swear I could smell the aroma of that dessert all the way from where you are in Florida! Definitely gonna have to try this one. Pass me a napkin, I’m drooling! 😂 Thanks!! 👍🏼
These look delicious! I have some brownie mix that needs to be made. I have marshmallows and the other ingredients. I will make these on Saturday or Monday. Thank you for sharing!❤
I say that every winter day I wake up in the Caribbean. I don't miss ohio weather at all. I love winters here, is cooler and breezy. Retirement has been good. These look and sound delicious.
The Caribbean would be even nicer than Florida. We just do not enjoy cold weather and snow anymore. It’s a great pleasure in retirement to escape, I do agree! Thanks for watching our channel!
Melissa is a really good videoer steady, and always catches the shots. This looks so good, I just love marshmallows. I’ll probably leave the nuts out, because for some reason I seem to get the one rotten one in the whole batch. Tom you are really great too.
Omg this looks amazing!!! I am headed to my kitchen now to get these made!!! And for dinner today I am making y’all’s corn chowder with a pan of cornbread. Sweet tea and apple pie. Yummm ❤❤❤
Nothing to do with the recipe but you mentioned a Joyce Hull as well as you being in Florida. We knew Joyce Hull from Florida who passed away within the last 5 years or so and wondered if it was the same lady. She was in her 90s and in her earlier years was a Mathematician, programmer and was quite involved with developing a Brailleing system. The latter was the context within which we knew her. A wonderful person and is missed ... just thought maybe.. Anyway thank you for your videos that I often watch and make delicious use of. I made the Grinch truffles for Christmas.. our grand daughters went bonkers over them :)
