Rod Stewart found Amy Belle singing on the streets just 1 week prior to this performance . He ask her to join him because the singer who was to sing with him got sick. That’s the reason she was shy and nervous, but Rod was with her all the way. Crazy.
I always was crazy about Rod Stewart but never got to see him. But I played his music for years. On my 51st birthday my husband took me to his concert in Columbia SC. What a great mix of a crowd! There were teens and anywhere from 40- 80 year olds! Even people in wheelchairs that weren't about to miss it! 😂 It was a great concert and for his age he still got around on stage! But I sure would have loved to seen him when he was younger because he was so energetic on stage with his dancing his whole shows! ❤❤ I'm 76 and still have his concert T-shirt! 😅

Rod Stewart was so lovely when he was young. 70S was very real, coming after the 60s paving the way to more freedom in music. Rod, Freddy, Bowie and t rex Mark Bolan. I was in love with them as a teenager. We really were spoilt for choice.

This song was written by Danny Whitten of Crazy Horse and released in 1971. Rod recorded it in 1975 for his album Atlantic Crossing. It was released as a single in 1977. The Amy Belle duet is my favorite of all time!
Seen Rod 3 times, once in ‘81 and twice in Vegas when he was in his late 60’s! He was fantastic all 3 times! He still sounds great at 78! “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” was done originally by CCR (Credence Clearwater Revival) but Rod may have covered it! Love this song! Great reaction!❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻
I saw him live 2 years ago he was amazing. I love him. The show was packed . He has a huge fan base. I have my vinyls of his stuff . My Mom was into him so I grew up listening to him . He's funny and he's great with people.
Amy must have been so blown away by being invited on to the stage with Rod, who'd seen her busking. What a beautiful chemistry they shared on the stage, and she was so lovely. A lovely thing for Rod to do. So beautiful this duet.
She was busking on a corner when Rods tour manager saw her and asked her join Rod on stage and sing a song with him. At least that is what I read about it.

I'd love to see a reaction to one of Rods rocking songs where he's constantly dancing. You can see his legs move in this video it's so ingrained in him! He would lose like 8lbs in a show. He told an interviewer that he had to work out in the gym so his stamina stayed up. That's dedication! ❤❤❤
Missed on the first guess, but right on the second-- "Have You Ever Seen The Rain" is a CCR cut! And as for Amy's performance, she 'sold' that to you becoz she was skeered **shitless**!! Man, I love this song!!! Rita Coolidge did this song too! Saw Rod Stewart in concert in Jackson, Mississippi. It was the "Tonight's the Night" tour. He wore all pink from head to toe! VERY good concert!

Back in the seventies I heard one of Rod's songs on the radio with the lyrics: I am sailing, I am sailing across the ocean, across the sea, to be near you, to be free. Then he came with this song (I don't want to talk about it) and I guess it didn't work out.....🥲I hope that I got the lyrics right because this is all from memory.
I had the biggest crush on Rod Stewart’s voice in the summer of 1971. I still think he has one of the sexiest voices I have ever heard. I had the great honor of seeing him live twice! Great choice! 🌺😂
I seen Rod Stewart in concert in Las Vegas a few years ago and he sounded great. Towards the end of the concert he was kicking soccer balls into the audience. The song was released in 1977.

Have You Ever Seen the Rain was by Creedence Clearwater Revival and the Forever Young song ur thinking of that Jay Z sampled is by Alphaville....But Rod does have a song called Forever Young! My absolute favorite song by him is The Motown song which he did with The Temptations!! Definitely worth a peep!!

Like some people in life, there was no one to support Amy Belle with songs that showed her potential. I have seen several videos of her of some of her songs but she needed the musical poet, who is behind many stars, to push her forward. In this song she lets us see his voice and his talent like a diamond that is beginning to be polished.
Uh... you really need to do some more Rod. This was just him giving her a breakc& God bless both. But don't stop here. Rod has a deep catalogue of music. Amazing voice (this is him after throat surgery so you know the earlier years are going to be phenomenal. Mind you - in some songs he has a lot of sass, sex and comedy relief and some sophistication. So keep that in mind. Legend. More Rod please. Of course Maggie May (so so many) but I will say Every Picture Tells A Story. The Sexy Scott done good, he did.
Rod Stewart did sing his song Forever Young which was similar to Bob Dylan's song of the same name and for which Stewart gave Dylan partial writing credit. Dan Fogarty sang Have You Ever Seen the Rain when he was with Credence Clearwater Revival. Try some of the other songs he wrote like Every Picture Tells a Story or The Killing of Georgie pts 1 & 2.
If you listen to the lyrics, you will see that the Stewart version differs significantly from the Dylan song. Also, you could just Google it. @@martinclail9290

Rod Stewart did have a song called Forever Young that I believe he sang for his kids but it isn’t the same song you’re thinking about. I believe the first Forever Young was written by Bob Dylan in 1973 and several artists have covered it throughout the years but the tune for that song is not the same as the Jay Z song you’re referring to. The song you’re thinking about by Jay Z ft. Mr Hudson was originally sung by the band Alphaville and was released in 1984. Its name was Forever Young. Then Jay Z did the song Young Forever in which he rewrote the lyrics and sampled the same music and featured Mr Hudson. I think it was released about 2009-2010. I’d love to see you react to it even though you’re already familiar with the song somewhat. It always gets me emotional because it reminds me of my son who is in his late 30’s, actually 40 this summer, but was about 25 when Jay Z’s version came out.
