Ive got a question. I encounter a lot of 'mic bleed', 'echo sound', when recording with two (sennheiser EW mics) in my basement. It seems that you guys in this video don't have that 'echo' sound. And you even didn't use the dynamics. Is there such a difference between these rode mics and my sennheiser mics? And is there a difference between the mics you tested?

I understand the Rode PodCaster is USB and can thus fit directly into my Mac PowerBook. How can I get non USB mics, ike my Rode VideoMic Pro and by NTGs to feed directly into my laptop.

Hi, Tim. Thanks for reaching out! You will need an audio interface for non USB microphones. An example of this would a Focusrite Scarlett or Presonus AudioBox. They will convert that XLR analog connection to USB into your computer. If you have any other questions, let me know. What would be the beat microphone for streaming between the procaster and podmic

Depends on your situation. The podmic cuts a lot of low rumble out by default but it does make you sound a bit more thin. Which is great if you are near a busy road. etc. The Procaster sounds like the Podmic but with extended low end which sounds more pleasing overall. If you are doing additional voice processing, I'd 100% would go to the procaster. But of course, if you care about looks as well, the podmic might look a tad better on cam.

FWIW -- The most essential thing in _any_ mic comparison is missing here: The same voice, at the same volume, saying the same thing, into each mic. Not laughing, not ad-libbing, not rodent or Darth Vader noises -- plain speech. How do any of these mics work for _female_ voices? Why use only male demonstrators?
