🛠 Tools I used for the repair
▶ Bosch heat gun
▶ Isesamo opening tool
▶ 1.5 - 2mm Heatshrink tubing
▶ IFIXIT - Spudgers or any other brand
▶ ESD-15 Anti-Static Stainless Steel Tweezer Curved
▶ Microscope
▶ 3mm double sided tape
▶ Glue, silastic or even better B7000 adhesive
📦 Parts I used for the repair
▶ 3.7 V 250 mAh Lipo battery - 3 wire, 25 x 20 x 6mm (readily available on ebay)

Nice tutorial! My two transmitters just opened by themselves, when the batteries bulged. That also showed the antenna early enough not to damage it. I wonder if the Wireless Go 2 works fine without a battery at all, as I use one of these mostly connected to the USB all times? That may also explain why the batteries have bulged 3 days before guarantee expires. For now I only detached the antennas from the top lid, so it does not get damaged if the batteries go bigger even more. And I am waiting for a call back from the dealer about how to proceed with the service. But still want to know if they work without a battery at all or if it needs a fake voltage on one of the pins of the connector, that it thinks it has a charged battery connected.

@@sergiosecreto3189 For those things Amazon is just Aliexpress with some middle men cashing in. Those batteries are hardly specialty items or are hard to manufacture. If it's simple parts then aliexpress is just fine. Just buy some at a seller with good reputation and a good amount of sales. I replaced 2 of my batteries and they work just fine.

$10 for the battery, but how much for the heat gun, pry tools, adhesive and micro-clamps..? 🤔

Battery is a consumable, just meant for the microphone, and you have to buy it every time for replacement. Other tools are standard tools that are reusable for a variety of purposes. It is more of an investment, and commonly available in your local electronics store at different price points.
