Thank you! I've been using Unify for a few weeks now and I was having a few problems and your video was really helpful in getting it to work properly for me. You're video was the most helpful one I've seen. Nice work.
Hey thank you so much I really appreciate and I’m glad it was helpful! I was kind of annoyed at how little I for or help other bigger videos/channels had to offer. So I figured I’d do it myself!
Watched your wave video and it really opened my eyes to what it can do, and I recently got an XDM100 And glad you did a video for it as well. Keep it up!
Very nice man. Glad you figured out why you were having difficulties hearing voice chat on stream. That Unify software has a lot going on with it. How long did it take you to really get it down?
Terminal!! I’d say all the trial and error, research, and learning took about a little under a week! With a few refinements and making it hardware compatible or adding key bindings I think unify has potential to be great.
Curious about 3 things. Given this review was done approx 10 months ago a) Have there been improvements made in the software "Possibly in addition added hardware control" and B) do you specifically have to use Unify to use this Mic or can you use Elgato and or other hardware to create with. If not, what do you suggest as the best Mic,Boom and streaming setup? I currently have a Blue Yeti, however no really good Boom for it.
I just started using it again since I just bought a rodecatser duo. 1. No changes I've seen since this video 2. Rode has confirmed to me that they are working on firmware update that will directly integrate unify into the rodecaster lineup 3. This mic can be used on any software since it is a USB mic
cool thanks for the info. Curious how you rate the Mic itself against the blue yeti. Seems like i have many issues integrating the yeti with OBS. I like the Mic itself however no good if i cannot use it with the actual recording software as the Ghub software sucks lol. I guess what i am asking is, is this Mic an excellent direct plugin for OSB use compared to the yeti as far as dialing in noise cancellation ect as that is my biggest issue with the Yeti.@@StreamGearTalk
Wave 3 and wavelink work best mainly due to the hardware usability (streamdeck/streamdeck+), being able to use hardware to control source volume is amazing. Xdm100 and unify is solid but you're limited to software volume setting :(
Rody Unify is a real game changer. But can it be used in combination with the rodecaster Pro 2? These virtual channels are a boon to any streamer. Unfortunately, the Rodecaster Pro 2 mixer does not currently have this. And one more question, can you also use the Rode Unify software with the Elgato Streamdeck Plus rotary controls?
what should my default input and output device be for my computer if im using unify? and what input device do i use in an app like discord? what input do i use to voice chat in game? EDIT: ok i think i understand. i want chat input to be my default and set my discord/in game input to be "chat input" as well because thats what they will hear. but now i have a new question. what do i set the "rode unify" output to?
As wonderful as the mic and Unify software is. As of 4/6/2023, Rode does not provide macOS support. This is a major oversight by Rode and I'm sure they are losing sales because of it.
I’m not an expert when it comes to music and vocals and what mics to use for that. I don’t think I would personally recommend it for singing. With the little I know most singers I know use condenser mics.
Maybe you can help me. In the Xbox party chat on my pc my friends are getting an echo of themselves. I can hear them and they can hear me but can’t figured out how to get rid of the echo
@@mikem4096 oh nice good work! In the chat channel iirc you gotta make sure no other sources are in it and if they are they gotta be muted in that channel. Only the mic should be unmuted in chat channel. That could be why they were hearing echo etc.
Absolutely horrible software, totally stuffed up my entire sound. Ride needs to do better. NOT EASY TO USE, NOT INTEGRATED as every time I shut down my computer it erases all the adjustments. Good video but I will not be using Rode products ever again.
