His delivery was impeccable and spot on. Combine great original comedic material with a superb, polished delivery and you have Rodney. The one and only. They'll never be another one like him. Miss you Rodney. R.I.P.
There will never be another Rodney. Can't believe he's been gone 9 years already. I just read that @ his funeral a plane flew over & s kywrote "respect". Rest in peace Rodney. You got my respect!
He's very good at giving the audience time to laugh by filling his pause between jokes with 'You're OK, you know that?' and What a crowd' - there's a skilful balance between fast delivery of jokes and giving them time to hit the mark. This crowd is a bit slow and sedate (they clap rather than yell), so his pace is also slower than in other performances. I've heard his jokes before but I think his voice and his twitchy movements are funny in themselves.
What the hell was that at 1:19? Some goof was asleep at the switch for the applause sign, it came nearly three seconds after he'd already said his tagline, "No respect. I don't get no respect all."
That's where you're wrong, imo. The sound of strong laughter following one of Rodney's jokes would only be dampened by something as far from unique as a rimshot. I miss this man.

The say the natives of America could revolt, but I said their Native Americans with the same Constitutional rights. They said but they are not Canadian, and thats who is financing their war. I'm glad your military science don't use experts as principle investigators of "Jus Bella", but they said the guy leading your efforts isn't one either but claims to be a principle investigator. Well the case could be the same as Germany understands the whole issue of Native Americans as Constitutional.
