He set up a club to help almost every comedian out there... Idk any other comedian that did that to help their own group. This guy was awesome! 26 years!
Victor Espino That wasn’t the original reason, he wanted a business in New York so he could raise his children without having to travel. Then he also used it to help fledgling comics, both noble motives, as he had lacked both supportive family and comedy mentors. But while many would just be bitter he sought to do the right thing instead.
Absolutely. If we could replace the fear-mongering/pot stirring media with videos of Rodney Dangerfield, the whole world would become a better place within a few minutes.

I regret not seeing him live! Don Rickles could smash, and they both are in another place resting after many years of entertaining , need to put Dangerfield's on my bucket list.
The woman he kissed was a set-up, I saw it in Vegas, but the quickness of using "iike two women because when I fall asleep they have each other to talk to" was a great pick up!
girls back then were pure beauty and all natural. Today, girls are all gross. They are all FAKE, botox, fake breasts, face lifts, injections.. u name it. Back then, a beauty was a true beauty, just like this girl. All natural. they don't make girls like her anymore SAD..
A fantastic entertainer. His persona was so unique and the public just loved him. I read an article written by his widow in which she said how hard he worked before an appearance, sometimes trying out gags and jokes in small clubs and stand up venues to get people’s reactions to new material. He would keep some jokes and discard others if he didn’t get a big laugh. He is really missed.
He cracks me up more than any of the other rapid one-liner style of comics; he is the MOUNT EVEREST of them all. Too bad geniuses like this who are blessed with the gift to make people laugh are not also blessed with extraordinarily longer lives before the gift of life itself is taken from them.
I love to watch his show in Saturday Night Life every weekend since I was high school. He was such a wonderful comedian. RIP Mr. Dangefield we all remember you.

As great a comedian as Rodney was his lifelong buddy Joe Ancis wrote much of his material. I knew Joe, he was a comic genius (also wrote material for Lenny Bruce) and deserves a lot of the credit for Rodney’s amazing career.

This indeed was Rodney at the MGM Grand, in 1995...he seemed tired, but was never down...and he indeed had the respect of hid audience and his friends. We miss you, Rodney.
