Looks like something I might try, next job after re-build of loco electronics. So far only my wife, daughter, son-in-law and my grandsons have driven.

On the flat portable track, there's not a lot that can go wrong. But on my home railway track with grades and curves, I have to be much more cautious about who can operate the loco unassisted.
