@@andreaslugauer8280 WRC is an acronym for World Rally Championship. This rally 1 cars are supposed to be the panicle of the Rallying world but, anyone who was out watching Seb Perez in his Stratos and all those quick Escorts, Porsches and the Corsa kit cat would tell you that the Rodger Albert Clark rally was far better and it is run in the UK.

@@robgrant1540 Hello, dear friend. You may have noticed that my question was a joke. 🥳🤠 Of course I know the meaning of "WRC". Finally, in fact, I watch rallies live since the beginning of November 1984. I have seen a great variety of drivers and cars all the years: Many amateur drivers with old-fashioned cars as well as Walter Röhrl and Christian Geistdörfer with the matchless powerful Audi Sport Quattro S1 who also came to our home rally event in Lower Austria. Many years later, I had the opportunity to see the first WRC rally in Germany, with the best drivers and cars of this time. This all has given me an impression and imagination what could be good for sport, and which things not. Today I think that every era should have its competition cars, changing in style and features in construction. The one thing that I think needs to change about rallying today: There are too few competitors among drivers and, above all, vehicle producers. And when it comes to technology, there are too many rigid specifications. It should be allowed to use more different technology in the WRC cars. And more powerful GT cars like today's Porsche sports cars should also be allowed to take part. However, one thing should be considered very consequently: Engines with horsepower levels, as it was usual under Group B, should be strictly banned! I also always say that the World Championship rallies in particular should be a lot longer and have more varied route characteristics. I see no reason why tarmac and gravel tracks should be separated. These would be my main concern. Have a nice time.

@@andreaslugauer8280 hello Andreas. A great deal of what you have written makes sense to me. I believe the Rally 1 cars are killing to sport. All that big budget high tech hybrid stuff, common rollover internal structures and all that stuff regulating the sport is reducing the manufacturers involvement to three and maybe fewer in the future. Watching the same eight (or sometimes less) cars doing little sprint runs from a central base is not rallying as I know it. Although I have just read that Rally 1 cars don’t have to have hybrid technology for 2024, that might help. I am more interested in seeing rally 2 cars and drivers but the TV doesn’t show that battle. Anyway, listening to Perez’s Stratos howling away in the Border forests with BDG engined Escorts hot on its heels will stay with me for a long time to come

I have an idea. 😋 It is, because this car is so unique in its look, acoustics and technology. Very much different to every rally car of today. May I be right? 🙂
