I saw Roger in Bath on Monday. I nearly fell off the circle balcony when I heard him singing. Why the hell is Adam Lambert still poncing about with Queen when this guy is real rock and roll and not musical theatre? When Warren starting singing Freddie’s intro to Prime Jive I thought Mercury had been reincarnated. And Rog’s voice is still amazing. 72 years old. Phenomenal.
it's funny because if you google 'Rod Stewart and Roger Taylor' one of the photos is of those two in the same room with fairly similar hair and they're the only ones wearing sunglasses indoors.
he lost some high notes, but that does not take anything away from Roger his performance. Love it, although Freddie could take any song to another level. He does a great job here with his song. Roger ages very well!
@@haythijs I think the same with Brian May singing too much love will kill you. Freddie gave the song a different meaning but Brian's version is still brilliantly moving
I'd love to hear his 2021 "Galileo"..! Come to think about it, the first 4 queen albums were full of Rogers falsetto, but none after A Night at the Opera... He must have blown his voice out with all those vocal takes. The cigarettes, vodka, and cocaine probably didn't help much either.
Everyone forgets what a great singer Roger is. It's hard to shine as a vocalist when the greatest rock vocalist of all time is the front man of your band.
I have been fortunate enough to see Queen live six times with Freddie … Roger was always the backbone of the vocals for Freddie. I saw Roger many years ago when he toured the UK… His voice now is nowhere near as good as it used to be…but to me ..He is a GOD…
Queen was/is a band full of extraordinary talent. Roger's voice is amazingly present throughout all of Queen's work . His solo vocal efforts for the band has given Queen fans some little gems not often heard by the general masses , e.g Tenement Funster. and here he is singing a song that I believe he penned. Really like this version. ...... Just give me an open car and some RMT tunes!
I wonder what memories this evokes in Roger when he's singing? Looking out across the stage, seeing the Freddie, and the tens of thousands of people watching Queen?! Things they've done as a band, the people, the places they've been.
Amazing ...So so so Great... I changed the lyrics for a cover song as Space Boy on YT.... just a bit of fun 'Shop at Wembury Stores' ... Queen fans have been so great! ... thanks.
Man, my tears are just accidentally droped when the guitarist start to fill in.. this song is so great... The chords, and the harmony in this song are amazing... feels so emotional everytime i hear this song... this is masterpiece, one of the greatest Queen's recording,, long live roger,, stay happy and stay healthy,
What a lovely feeling I'm left with after watching that. I first saw Roger Taylor on Swap Shop on Saturday morning TV in the 70s and he was as remarkably stunning then as he is now. He's never changed. All through my life that man has just bloody oozed talent and charisma. That voice, the songs he's written not to mention his drumming prowess. Roger Taylor is a Rock God and it's really great to see him and this great band kicking it out. I hope they tour.
Группа Queen - сокровище мировой музыкальной культуры. Нам невероятно повезло быть современниками этих великолепных музыкантов, и бесконечно жаль Фредди.
What a great performance. It brought me to tears. In Freddie's absence, Roger is the right person to sing it. In fact, he was the composer of this song.
Amazing ...So so so Great... I changed the lyrics for a cover song as Space Boy on YT.... just a bit of fun 'Shop at Wembury Stores' ... Queen fans have been so great! ... thanks.
Bless you Roger... forever putting an end to any old, stupid jokes about drummers writing songs. This is just a fantastic piece of music. And a fantastic performance. While seeing Spike Edney on keys is always an extra gift, I want tip my hat to the entire band. This did put a huge smile on my face. Thank you!
How many people actually realised that it was Roger who who originally wrote Radio Gaga? The story behind it was that he was playing with one of his children who at the time was still very young & just learning to talk and they kept saying Radio Ca-ca which was then Roger's inspiration to pen the song. Which was then recorded to their album The Works but of course the performance that really elevated it to what we know so well today was Live Aid.
Taylor siempre con su voz impecable, un timbre muy especial y un caudal increible, sin duda Queen era un bloque de diamante, perfecto y pulido. Mi admiracion de siempre a Roger.
Geeez I feel like age 16 again watching Roger belt out 1 of his #1worldwide smash hits, its thrilling to watch him and his team crank it out...Perfecto Mr Taylor thank you again and again 50 years going strong...hope to see you and everyone in the fall of 2022 in the USA...IM age 60 makes me feel young again no doubt.
I only ever saw them once,Hyde park London in 1976,with supercharge,Steve Hillage and Kiki Dee supporting, she had a cardboard cut out of Elton John on stage,as her guitarist covered Elton’s vocal parts on don’t go breaking my heart,,Queen were awesome, and their catalogue of hits continued, they are the band with more hits than any of my top favourite bands.
this is so fantastic! great to see such a diverse group having so much fun performing. I wasn’t alive to appreciate Queen at their peak but the timelessness of their music is extraordinary.
I’ve always loved Roger’s voice. This is amazing!. The first time I listened to his singing was in “The Loser in the End”. I love Queen II, that was the first album I ever bought from the band back in ‘86 when I was 12.
Seen Roger and the band in Cardiff Wednesday night and it was outstanding!!! Absolute pleasure to see them play and a huge thank you for a great night. ❤
God Rogers voice is great considering his age and this is a bastard of a song to sing , great tune , Long may you prosper Roger Taylor and thanks for writing this great song
