White moves the King pawn up 2 spaces, followed by Black moving the Queen-side Bishop pawn up 2 (or in typical chess move terminology: e4 c5.) it's considering one of the most combative openings, and one of the ones which comes closest to negating White's inherent advantage at having the first move. And to fully embrace the "Dark Knight" analogy, one of the more popular follow-ups for Black is Knight to c6.

I have only one critique: The Sicilian Defense is characterized by pawn structures that influence the flow of the game, so a pawn would have been the better chess piece to use for the visual.

I know :) The knight looked a lot better for the thumbnail though so we went with that. I guess you could say this is the knight on f3. Sicilian Defense is the most common opening I play against e4. With white I play the queen's gambit but that name is already taken haha.

explanation of sicilian defence: offers Black the opportunity to create an unbalanced position with winning chances for both sides. After reading this i feel like this song really describe how batman work, he unbalance position everybody (the mafia) position making sure that everybody has fighting chance (the people of gotham)
