In this review the chap in the cap talks about Rokker’s incredible, waterproof jeans. They are the only truly waterproof jeans on the market, and the way they perform is simply amazing. Chris explains how the waterproofing works. He tells us about how the membrane also helps regulate temperature. Of course, jeans also have to work from a protection standpoint, so we learn about the strength of the Dynatec fabric and how the D30 armour is fitted. But nothing is perfect, so we hear about the issues with these jeans as well. This won’t necessarily please Rokker, but we like to tell it the way it is. Waterproofing, however, is what the Revolutions are about, so he sends poor young Billy outside to test them. Chris gets distracted and so Billy spends longer under the microscope than was intended. But all’s well that ends well. The jeans show no signs of water ingress, and Billy gets a day off to recover from his cold!

I bought a pair of these from Motolegends. (After a lot of “If, What, Maybe on the price). This review is absolutely spot on! ML moved the knee armour pocket to suit me (had to send them back as I live away from the shop). Have done many miles in them in all sorts of weather. I can highly recommend them and Chris and his team!

Great review and nice to also hear where the product is manufactured, expensive but at least they’re made in Europe.

There's a Hollywood blockbuster in all of this--without a doubt. Like the jeans, but what can you tell us about that smart looking cranberry jacket to your right in the video? Seem quite fetching from here!

I've had a pair of these Jean's for three years. They are light and feel like a normal pair of Jean's and are fantastic. I wear them through summer spring autumn. Cold in winter. They look better after a while and look like normal Levi Jean's. Only thing they are slippy, what I mean they slip down so you get a bit of builders bum. They inside feels smooth. Worth every penny. I have the rochertech which I prefer in warm summer months.

If these were available in various colours and fits like the Rokkertech I'd definitely be interested.

A few things on this. As they are expensive, its well worth going to the shop for a fitting; (if they allow it in these plague times!). Make sure to get Kness adjusted if needed. Get 2" longer in the leg, then you would normally, to allow for boot Length and curve of knee on bike. Get 2" wider in the waist, to allow for body on your bike, especially if you wear a BackPack. I had my eye on these for 6 Months and travelled from Ireland especially to buy them with a fitting.

Your a Nasty boss.... Poor Billy I would go to the department of health and safety at the job department! Make a claim, get a raise for risky work conditions, and bullying. Im negotiating the idea to buy a pair of Rokkatechs, those Revolution would be to hot for Portugal. Cheers

7:20 normally a Membran should open on hot weather to let air trough and close on cold weather to stop wind and hold warm air innerside Ar this Price, the Jeans don’t can do this ?

Membrane clothing does not actually open and close. It is basically a knit with holes that allow for air molecules to pass through and the bigger water molecules can’t pass. Wind is blocked by the limit of air molecules allowed to pass through the size of the knit and by the outer material This makes the material breathable compared to most types of raincovers. It gets a bit tricky tho when you sweat, that’s why you should run a synthetic functional underwear (made for the summer of course) it wicks up and helps to evaporate the sweat letting it pass through the membrane faster then if the Membrane had to do the job alone. Of course different membrane have different size „holes“ to let molecules pass through, but at a certain amount of heat/sweat a membrane just can’t keep up and it’s best to run clothing without a membrane. That’s why there are touring jackets that not only let you zip out the thermo liner but also the membrane.

I own these pair of Jeans. I have been using them for almost two years and retreated them once with waterproofing spray. In my most recent ride in moderate rain water eventually leaked in through the crotch/butt area after one hour. That area contrary to other areas, is under pressure supporting the weight of the upper torso. All these waterproofing membranes eventually will let water in if the pressure is sufficiently high. Doing a test by spraying the pants with a water hose while useful does not accurately validate the waterproofing claim. Testing them in actual ride conditions is a better test. The membrane also does not come with lifetime warranty unlike Gore-Tex garments that do. At $500 one would expect a waterproofing warranty. Another drawback of these jeans is that they don't have a mesh. The body is in direct contact with the waterproof membrane, this will cause the membrane to wear out fast. For such a high price they should have addressed that issue. Besides these two issues the jeans are very high quality. For summer I would recommend the BMW Waterproof jeans, half the price, have an inner mesh and are much cooler.

The video is just a joke. Clearly it was not designed to be a scientific test, but we have sold more of these jeans than anyone in the world so we know what they will do. Under enough pressure, any membrane will let water in. Gore state that the pressure of a 14 stone man leaning in a puddle is enough to breach their membrane. Gore's warranty only warrants the membrane if it is not worn out, so in truth, it is kind of a pointless warranty. With regards to the Revolution jeans you can make them far more wearable, by the way, by wearing a mesh base layer. A pair of MotoSkiveez underpants will also put a bit of an air gap between the membrane and your skin which helps the membrane do its job. If you're getting water ingress around the crotch this can be through the zip because the zip is not truly waterproof. You can also get a little water ingress in to the pockets which could wet the crotch. Finally, the BMW jeans, unless there's a pair that I don't know about, don't have a laminated membrane, so in heavy and prolonged rain they are going to get heavy and that's going to make you feel very cold. @@Motolegends The video is actually good, it is not a joke. I enjoy watching it. One suggestion when you show people wearing a garment, tell what height, weight and size they are. In some videos you do, in others you don't. This can help the rest of us who want to order online. I don't agree about the Goretex lifetime warranty being pointless. I owned a Dainese Verbier leather jacket that had a Gore-Tex membrane laminated to it, one of a kind piece of garment. After 6 years the area on the right shoulder was always wet when I rode in the rain. I contacted Gore-Tex, they had me ship the jacket to a test-center nearby where they figured out it was beyond repair and 2 days later I got a full refund of $600. Why do you say it is pointless? Also, the BMW waterproof jeans have a Climate waterproof membrane laminated to the inside, so they don't get heavy in the rain. I rode with them and they feel much cooler than the Rokker Revolution jeans.
