Vo disperato a morte (dejectedly I accept my death) ne perdo gia costanza (my courage is starting to desert me) a vista del morir. (at the thought of death) Funesta la mia sorte (my fate is terrible) la sola rimembranza (I keep wondering) ch’io te potei tradir. (how I could betray you)
I agree: very beautiful aria and very emotionally sung! Bravissimo! Now I want this new CD too:-). Thanks dear George for posting. Good luck and happy new year! We want more:-).
I wanted to confirm that this is in fact from Clemenza di Tito, not from Tito Vespasiano. Anyone confirm this? Trying to keep my iTunes info accurate and the general info seems to disagree with the CD notes.
