Mostly women best singing of this song but for Roland version of a Male sings this song in a twist way to sing in a husky and raspy voice in a sweet smooth way of Roland's version of singing. I agree with your point about the song choice. Roland has a beautiful, unique voice. Instead of choosing a song that showcases his deep and unique voice, he chose one that shows his limitations (the low vocal range and struggles with high notes). Singing Whitney is a huge responsibility. His performance was not bad, but when you sing Whitney, you will always be compared to her. If it was to sing an iconic song, I think "Ain't No Sunshine" would fit his voice better.
