🔵 Nuclear Sun is a song by Roland Brant
Roland Brant is known to the public above all for the songs Nuclear Sun (1993), Mastermind (1994) and Moon's Waterfalls (1996), true milestones of the genre. The piece Nuclear Sun is also known to have a certain weight in the plot of the novel Io uccido by Giorgio Faletti, of whom Bragante was a personal friend. Other of his most successful songs are The Kiss Of Medusa (1994) and Heaven (1999), a song with which Roland approaches the then nascent Italian dance genre, thanks also to the remix by Matteo Epis.
The sounds of his compositions anticipated by a few years those of the so-called Dream Progressive musical subgenre made famous in particular by Robert Miles. On several occasions Roland Brant also made use of the Laser Harp, built by the Italian Kromalaser based on the invention of the engineer Maurizio Carelli, an instrument launched in 1981 by the French Electronic/New Age composer Jean-Michel Jarre.
Among the many clubs in which he played, the Duplè club in Serricciolo had particular importance, where he was a resident from 1994 to 2006; continuing to spread dream progressive sounds when new genres were going crazy and exploding in the world every moment. He contributed to strengthening what we can define as the great Italian techno-electronic family, leaving an indelible mark on the musical character
