Excelente demo! Parabéns Mário. Uma dúvida, ele tem mtos timbres de baixo eletrônico? Estou pensando em pegar um, hj, em 2023 pra usar sons de “ Moog” e outros clássicos usados nos anos 80, 90, etc… obrigado.
I really enjoyed this demo. Superb playing and the phrasing was spot on for the instruments you were replicating! My favorites were the Doors Organ, the horn that followed, the accordion, and especially the violin at approx. 6:50. What 2 tones are you using for the violin patch at 6:50? Thank you!
Hey Mario, I found this video very helpful. I am a 46 year old guitar player and am considering purchasing my first guitar/synth rig. I have a limited budget, so a GR-30 seems like a good buy being it is older technology and I can get one cheap. Any suggestions rather than dropping a thousand dollars on a Godin guitar? I intend to watch your other videos, I liked your playing on Europa very much. Thanks
You kick ass. I've been working with one of those for about 10 months and i keep coming back to your demo. I've been trying to use a blend pedal to switch between guitar sound and synth. I'm hoping I can sound like Ritchie Blackmore and John Lord at the same time...
Hi, John. the guitar on the video is a Vester from the 90s! I paid only 120€ , then i have mounted a Roland GK-2 Pickup on it , and thats all!! So for maximum 150 - 200 € you have a good Guitar Synth for less money. Thanx for watching!!
@@Dangelo1809 Well, I used the original sounds on it !! But I sometimes mixed 2 Sounds in a patch and also added Chorus or Reverb on them !! Thats all !! So finally You can easily find what you are looking for , without be a professor of programming ;-)
Finaly someone is showing a practical demo on the GR-30. All we care about are the endividual sounds it has. Did you do something to make the guitar track so well. Thanks for doing it bro'
Was hesitant to get a used GR-30, but am not sure what I would need to use it. I have the electric guitar, cables, boss katana amp and isolated power supply. This requires anything else? Seems I'd need a pickup add on from what I could tell.
Just got one based on seeing your vid,, took to it like a fish to water, gotta say, it will improve your skills as a guitarist, specially when you try to imitate phrasing for the dif instruments, for instance a piano sounds best when you pick all notes, you can get smooth sax phasing if you play the notes sweet enough lol,, love mine, used it live only hours after receiving it
Hello Mario...Great Demo!... I've been using a GR-55 for years and haven't heard patches that sound that nice!... Do you share patches?? Posted anywhere like Vguitar forums maybe???
I have this synth and had used it for years with a gk2/gk3 pickup, tracking was fair but never usable in a live situation.I recently upgraded one of my strats with a graphtech ghost system. What a difference in playability, its like driving a dodge your whole life and then you buy a rolls royce.Yes the tracking is that good!
Damn. I REALLY gotta sit down and get mine set up properly. Nofa kin way I can get it to track chords on the piano that well. Are you using the preset or have you tweaked it?
Hello Mario! Sounds Great! Could you please tell me what patch number you changed to at the 1:10 min mark in the video, awesome keys\bell sound. Thank you!!
is the latency acceptable for live performances?? i posted in a local guitar buy and sell page on facebook looking for guitar synths and a guy offered me one for $100 bucks without pickup or 13 pin cable. in your opinion is that a good deal? and do you think ill be happy with the tracking/latency? the latency looks spot on by watching you but..then again i dunno your recording set up.. too much latency really messes with my head lol
ENDVash Hi, Latency is no problem. I used the Roland GR-30 in my cover band . Live. In my Opinion 100$ is a very good price, for a guitar player who becomes 365 Sounds by his hands .... Buy it bro !!!!
Thanks for the quick response man. I've done so many hours of research on all of these synths haha..im just obsessed with Midi and keyboard sounds but i already know how to play guitar. it was honestly between this or the Midi guitar software..but with that i would have to bring a laptop and also buy a low latency audio interface which would jack up the cost and make it much less convenient.
Ohh one more question if i do get it should i just get a gk2? or is the gk3 alot better as far as tracking/latency ect? because the gk2 i might be able to find for around 50 where as the gk3 will be like triple that haha
Latency is great for that old Synth. I use a Gk-2, that's fast enough. I don't know how the gk-3 works with the GR-30. maybe its a little bit faster....
Hi Luis, all the sounds that you hear are patches made by myself ! You can take 2 Sounds from the presets (389!!!) ,Mix them together and add effects....Really.
Unfortunatly I don´t have the GR30 anymore...But You should set up Your GK2 or GK3 as in the user manual of the GR30...the rest is in the play Feel options...Aaaaaaaand, last but not least, You have to change Your guitar playing a bit...As I had too
the song at 8:20, for some reason I remember that from child hood I just can't remember from where, great video man! thoroughly explained, I feel like I've got the full experience of the gr30 , rock on
