Here is the new Roland JUNO-X!!!
Every sound you hear in this video comes from this instrument, no overdubs, everything's been played in real time using the 5 internal parts, iArpeggio and the step sequencer.
Inside of each unit that you will find in the stores, there's also a piece of me as I had the privilege to create a lot of factory tones, scenes and the new iArpeggio 2.0 patterns!
I put a lot of love into it and I'm so happy with the final result. I have never felt so good with a synth since System-8, my first real job for Roland. It's a great honour for me to collaborate with them.
This simple song that I played, is not just a demo, it's a declaration of love towards life, for the fact that it led me to do (at least for me) the most beautiful job in the world.
I would like to thank president Jun-Ichi Miki, Hisakazu Yamasato, Akihiro Nagata, Yoshinori Iwamoto, Gota Miyabashira and all the amazing people in Roland I've been in contact with during the last 5 years. You are like superheroes to me, you're really making my dreams come true.
I hope this is only the beginning.

This is how a demo should be done; showing the instrument's ability to make actual music rather than patch surfing. I would love to see another version of this tune performed on the Jupiter-X using the native Jupiter-X model and its tones in order to demonstrate how the Juno-X and Jupiter-X fundamentally differ to each other in sound. Is the key-bed on this different to that of the Jupiter-X?

Music can be made with any synthesizer. Patch surfing helps to get an idea of the sonic range and versatility of the instrument. Also this video does not tell me anything about the programming workflow or features, it’s just a keyboard performance that does not even utilize the controls. Nothing against that, but I would not consider this a demo.

Excellent composition. Good demonstration of the X. However I think any of today's instruments would sound great under the hands of Gattobus. He knows synths, he knows music.

Gattobus and Kebu are 2 only true representatives for Roland. I don't like this idea of Roland making same thing over and over lately but first i want to hear what these two artists have to say. Btw , this tune reminds me of Fleeting lights from Kebu

Can a Fantom-0 generate the same sounds that this Juno-X? Of course it should be for those generated by the Zen-core engine, but what's inside a Juno-X not present in fantom-0?

I get the Jupiter Xm and Juno X for the same price. But I don't have room for another large keyboard from the Juno. Is the sound between Jupiter Xm and Juno X the same and only differences in operation and the pre-models Juno X vs SH101 etc.? Can your great internal sounds also be found in the Jupiter Xm (through an update?)

Great piece! Perhaps you can help me with the following: How do I setup the arpeggios on a Juno-X, so that they play independent from each other other multiple keyboard splits? I tried to setup keyboard ranges for each parts, but no matter what I do the arp's do not play independent. Play an arp on one split and it affects the arps on the other split. It looks like the arps cannot be separated and are triggered by the entire keyboard, despite the key ranges. Do you know how to fix this? Thank you so much.

Sounds and looks lovely. But already have the JU-06a. So same synths but no i-arpeggio and Juno x engine whatever that is. But the JU-06a use the the ACB Engine so in theory the more accurate representation of the analog originals. How is the keybed?

If you're looking for the perfect emulation, you're already fine with JU-6A but JUNO-X is not just that, it's a whole new approach and experience. So inspiring. Front panel and keybed are just great. Give it a try 😉

@@katseazzz Indeed. Just today l realized the same thing, checking another youtube video performing a direct back to back comparison between Juno X and Juno 106. All Juno X sounds were not only identical, but with more volume and chorus! Excellent work by Roland!

@@siberio76 Unlikely because extra modulation options and waveform (they added a supersaw) unique to this Juno X is the main selling point, just saying the model of synthesis is the same as the Jupiter X, and not as good as ACB modelling

analogue circuitry is indeed fascinating but in JDXA I always loved the digital parts more... anyway Juno-X sounds good enough to my ears. A truly inspirational synth!

if Roland had guts these days, they would use ACB or real analog components.... it sure looks pretty, but 2000euro for a VST player???? i rather spend that money on a monofonic Moog or some great, real analog truthworty stuff from Behringer, .... sorry Roland, again... u had it....long time ago

Get the same sounds out of my 2 hydrasynths i still haven’t seen a demo of this thing sounding ANYWHERE NEAR A JUNO 6/60/106 not even with the Chorus buttons turned on - either ROLAND LOST THE SOUND ENGINEERS FROM WAY BACK WHEN OR they don’t own the spec for the old school analog fat sounding classic Roland brass / string / piano sounds sorry /not sorry they should not use classic Roland color schemes and lQQKS to trick the public into buying these machines 👎👎👎

2K for this synth is a bit much. A nice keyboard and controls with a bunch of boutique boards and such. A Artuia Polybrute is much more of a synth at $2699 (street price). Good luck Juno X.
