Roland's writing, lyrics and voice are just outstanding - he is a true talent. I love that his music is so personal to him and so emotive. He has stood by his "I am not a popstar" stance and, being such a private person, there is a mystique about him that is so refreshing. He comes across as unfriendly but he is not... He simply makes music, which is what he loves, but his fans want all of him and he keeps what he can to himself. He is a very private man.

The problem was, this album was released in the states on 9/11 - yes, you read it right, 9/11! As such, it never got promoted properly and Roland didn't tour to support it due to all the terrorist B.S. Being a hardcore TFF fan for 31 years (since '81) I have kept in the loop of what's been going on. Sadly so many people stopped listening after the "Seeds" album. They've missed A LOT!

I did NOT know this but I’m so glad to finally have an explanation because Roland ain’t no nobody and this album was INCREDIBLE and yet I don’t even hear TFF fans talk or even know about this album.
This song and video puts me in a trance. Tomcats Screaming Outside is a great and underrated album by Roland Orzabal. I can play this song over and over again...
19 years since this album and 16 years since the last TfF album, I wish there was a new one to listen to; the two songs from their latest greatest hits compilations were an absolute tease.

Eu acho a letra assim também mas tanto Ozabal quanto Curt sempre demonstraram sentimentos desde os anos 80! Eu sinto determinadas emoções em várias músicas... Quanto aos shows; estiveram no Brasil várias vezes; no Rock In Rio em 2017.... Acho que os contratantes é que não procuraram a Banda!

I too have been a fan since the beginning.... Sadly, as their record sales in the UK, USA etc have out sold Australia (and because we are so far away!) they've only toured a couple of times. I've seen them in concert twice (in Perth WA) .... back in the 80's when I too was a teenager and then happily just a few years back when they toured with Spandau Ballet (who I saw in concert back in the 80's also!). I've just bought Roland's solo album that was not release in Aust but was on Amazon UK.YAY!

How the cold onto our skin can feel like the winters wind or refresh us like a semi sunny walk in the park on a fall day! The detatchment in our veins, a reaction to the pain we feel, the lonley, the yearning to love - be loved! It's when the warmth that floods in real or unreal takes us over we loose our breath! The rush of being alive in that moments will - sustains! Here for a moment in time~
