Hey man cool video! I have an RE 501 that I’m fixing up a bit (new tape/cleaning) and I’m trying to track down a power switch button. My unit is in very good condition and the power switch works fine I’m just missing the white button piece and was wondering if you have any spare parts you’d sell or if you know where I could get one. Thanks!
Hi, just purchased 501, it seems the xlr input is very low in volume, i jave tried to spray and clean it out, to no avail. Any suggestions can they replaced easily, t.i.a.
@@anthonychinery5528 The XLR input is for studio line levels +4db; it will be a lot less sensitive than the -20db line level inputs. P.S. I am now back in the UK servicing these units!
@@PhilipHawthorne It's going to be low but not sure, if you download the service manual it may tell you. The manual should be free on the web from Electrotanya etc
❤Hello, plz need some advice here. I have a ground noice on a reverb, but not on a delay. It appears when I turn the knob. Can you say what I can do with it? Thank YOU!🎉
@@delatronics3257thank you. I checked all the cables to reverb tank and jacks. I have a “mic” or guitar type of noice when putting it back (close to transformer) it starts to hum, and it’s gone when I put the tank out of box. Ground cables are fine. Any ideas ? Thank you very much in advance.❤
hi, i have a jmx et-520, pre roland made in japan machine head...i buyed yesterday, is working fine but seems to me that something is out of spec, i can move all the knobs searching for that loops that you can make some nice effects, in here that dont happend, i dont know if may be some electrolytic cap, i mean, something in the electronic or something mechanical like for example the rubber wire that goes from the motor to some metalic plate in the inside of the chasis it became loose, i supose that from factory was tense and with years of use maybe streched...im from argentina, sorry my english if i dont be clear in some point...hope u can give me some ideas of what may be going on
This is made by Hagstrom which I believe is Swedish and nothing to do with Roland to my knowledge (never seen one). Replace all electrolytic capacitors with a good brand like Nichicon or Nippon Chemical or Rubicon. If you are on a budget Panasonic are OK too.
