Here is the Roland SH5 breakout panel that I designed in action - alongside my customised Roland System 100, the CR8000 drum machine (its a beast) and some eurorack sequencing stuff - YEAH!
70s Rolands for the win! (and an 80s CR-8000, but we'll let that in). Nice mod on the SH-5, BPF modulation looks very nifty. I still think the System 100 has the best LPF Roland ever made. What do you think?
Cheerz Alex. I love the 100 LPF, but I think the SH5 is also nice. And the Sh2000. Oh and the SH3a! Its interesting that even the later chip-based filters, like in the SH09 / 100M / SH101 still have the same Roland 'rubbery' tone - theres magic in them there filters
I'm completly Benged as always .... even the drums are fab ... what's sequencing the lines and how do they shift high notes every now and then.... ah i see a couple of Behrged roland styled but that Asq1 ? and that desinged Benge module cool
Very cool jam. This was Roland at it's peak. That's a beautiful sounding system right there! I'm interested in your breakout panel. What does it do? How does it work? Are you going to give it any clothes?
Thanks David - the panel brings out all the back panel connectors and also has the CV input for the BPF - sweet! Its so I can integrate the SH5 with my System 100
